We played the full eighty showed some real grit prod of the team coach and club we are on our way bac. That was a full strength Melbourne side we took to the wire

That’s it. Well they lost Kamikamica early and without NAS but that’s a selection call. Fact is we are missing almost half our best 17 and still put the sword to them. Sucks not to get the points but very good signs going forward.

What gets me is...if Burton is struggling with conversions from the left side of the field, why doesn’t he give it to Critta. Critta is a right footer and it's easier for him than a left footer. FMD, put the team first and do it.

No way, Xerri an fox need to both be in the left after seeing tonight’s performance. And Xerri is a left I side specialist!!! Be stupid to move him from where he is most comfortable and forming a great combo with Fox, don’t break up a strong force !!!!

that was basically our reserve grade pack and we probably should’ve beaten the storm, in Melbourne.
thoughts;
Tracey is the best FB at the club, been saying that since we signed him.
I know Taffe was starting to look better, but the fact that Tracey didn’t need a pre season and 4 games to find his feet, says it all.
Hutchison is killing me, replace with Taffe.
Fox haters, fuck off.
Xerri makes me smile.
Kiks makes me hard.

Despite the loss I'm not as disappointed as the Parra and Souths game. The team has showed that we can compete with top four sides. We'll take a lot out of this game and be better for it, I haven't said this in a long while but we definitely look like a top 8 team.


Kiks is our best player.
Xerri and Foxx look dangerous on the left. We will score tried easy with Burton,Kiks, Xerri, Foxx left side.
Tracy doesn't make me nervous at FB and his kick returns are great including his work rate.

Add a decent halfback and we're going to win a lot of games.

I know I must sound like a broken record, but why doesn't the club hire a dedicated attacking coach? When it gets to tackle 3 or 4 the team has no fucking idea what to do. Surely Gus can find some money and hire a dedicated attacking coach. Just need to get that bit sorted out (and shoot Hutchison into outer space) and this team will be top 8, no worries.

One that got away. Some last tackle options were crap and Burton’s kicking overall was disappointing. Kiraz and Tracey were excellent. Pleased with Hayward’s debut.

We desperately need a controlling half who has a bit of pace.

Really impressed with Kikau, Tracey and Xerri tonight. Forwards were solid overall. Hutch and Critta had fuckin shockers.

Our attack is still developing, but even there we have shown some real improvement.
