x 2 on Meaney, he’s trash and is barely a NSW Cup standard fullback...let alone a winger who just gets dominated in everything he does, Crichton is no superstar but there’s at least intent with his carries...And Fcuk yeh no cream puff Meaney running backwards or sideways all game
Add tolman and Thompson into the side with katoa and we can genuinely compete with most teams barring rorters Whom at the moment are on a hole diff level
Crichton has been much better in his last two games. He’s not a long term option but deserves to stay in the team on what he’s showing at the minute.x 2 on Meaney, he’s trash and is barely a NSW Cup standard fullback...let alone a winger who just gets dominated in everything he does, Crichton is no superstar but there’s at least intent with his carries...
No one caresMore people talking sense on Fox.
Yeah, it’s a shame he’s a short-arse, a bit more height and some consistency with his hands (as he does give me a bunch of heart in the mouth moments) and he’d be right up there amongst the better wingers in the comp.Crichton has been much better in his last two games. He’s not a long term option but deserves to stay in the team on what he’s showing at the minute.
So who would you play in the centres? I see a distinct lack of talent for that position.I don’t get the obsession with playing wingers as centres. Reimis and DWZ are 2 great wingers, and the whole backline is worsened in 4 positions when they play at centre.
The thing is Foran is class. No one can doubt that. His body has probably been through a lot and his best years are behind him in that regards. But as a playmaker and his experience he is a threat every time he is near the ball, let alone touches it.So I'm hoping to see wakeham as first receiver
Wakeham and foran both have an ability read the game and float to both sides as required so keen to see how this works out and hoping wakeham doesn't take too much of a back seat to foran. But also the way foran has played the last two games, hes been keen to take a bit of a back seat and inject himself when he wants vs the dumb fuck lewis who's got a big head and tried to command everything
Wakeham has an intelligent kicking game, so expect him to kick to steer us around the field (not a boot and hope like someone who's dropped)
Noticed as well that foran was freely kicking last week, so wakeham won't be the only kicking option
Really keen to see how these two go.
And have my fingers crossed that renouf will be an animal from kick off
Thats what got him offside with a lot of us. Not only is he not talented but he started talking himself up. I dont think that kind of shit sits well with bulldogs DNA, especially when you don't have the talent to back it up.The thing is Foran is class. No one can doubt that. Without Lewis in the line I feel Foran will get a lot more attack directed his way. Was horrible seeing 3 plays going through Lewis every set. He honestly thought he was the chief playmaker in his mind. Getting dropped should send the msg he isn’t untouchable. Hope if he ever does come back he doesn’t act like he is the best on the team.
I can see Foran and wakeman sharing the attack and being threatening. That doesn’t mean we will win. But Atleast we won’t play that crap hero ball Lewis plays.
He plays way above what he thinks his ability is. Which isn’t a compliment for him
Relax champ, I was taking the piss. If anything your post was the best thing a few of us had read in weeks...Shit happens.Firstly I didn't say we signed bellamy, I said that I can confirm the article written was true and that talks began few weeks back.
Secondly what would you like bellamy to say....yeah dogs offered me this much and I'm considering it.
Hasler also said similar when we were rumoured to sign him, he denied it the whole way until it was announced.
All I said was we definitely have spoken to bellamy and it was few weeks back and that the article was true, nothing more
Pay.If Wakeham goes to shit who gets the blame now??
Hope he doesn’t but fuck I’m lost
I've got no doubt there's reasoning behind Katoa not even in the starting 17. Whether it be attitude. Training. Whatever. He'll have his reasons not to be playing him.Totally agree
We have a genuine specialist hooker that’s hasn’t got an opportunity because teachers pet JMK jack of all trades master of none won’t be moved
Also hopefully Averillo is back to centre because Wakeham will actually get him quality ball today
I agree with you there. I have never seen a coach carry a winger/centre on the bench. We wasted 2 subs getting Morgan on and then getting averillo back on. And what did it achieve? Not much in my books.I've got no doubt there's reasoning behind Katoa not even in the starting 17. Whether it be attitude. Training. Whatever. He'll have his reasons not to be playing him.
However, at some point you need to look at yourself and admit it's time to make a change. JMK has done absolutely nothing so far as a hooker. Nothing. We bought a specialist in but he's not getting a show. What hard can it do to put him on the bench and give him a 20 min run out to see how he goes?
It's baffling to me.
More than Wakeham not starting till now. More than wingers playing as fullbacks. Fullbacks playing as wingers. Wingers playing as centres.
Why sign a hooker, the only specialist hooker on our books, and not give him a second of game time the whole year? Especially when those playing hooker aren't specialists themselves. And more importantly are playing rubbish.
Baffling.
He’s warming the position for Jason saabCrichton has been much better in his last two games. He’s not a long term option but deserves to stay in the team on what he’s showing at the minute.

1-7 should be 80 min players barring injury. 8-13 should be your rotational players. Wakeman on the bench makes a hell of a lot more sense then Holland and Harper. And like you said we brought in a hooker. Why not play him. We are over of a quarter of the way through the season. Yet our game interchange strategy revolves around carrying an outside back And swapping them on and off. Throw in katoa, throw in a utility, even carry cogger for heck’s sake. Not sure what pay hopes to achieve by substituting players that are 80 min players. Yet our hooker barely runs in the last 15 mins of the second half because he is gassed.
Not bizarre for me.That's it.
What makes it even more puzzling is that everyone at the club clearly made the hooker position a priority as they saw it as a position on the field we were really lacking in quality. We chased 4-5 decent hookers, and ended up with Katoa. Whether you believe he's great or not, he's the player we chose to sign after trying multiple attempts at other players.
Then not to even give him a look in? It's completely bizarre
