On a another note Adam Elliott plays his 50th FG game on Friday

Astute coaches say that a player isn’t FG material until they have 50 or 60 games under their belt

But our coach puts him in the Leadership group and name drops him as if other players will be enticed to join because of his leadership qualities

Our refs are Matt Cecchin and Chris Butler (see first post).

We aren't too bad under either of them.

Video Ref is Ash Klien who we had a 60+% win ratio under.

Probably the best ref combo we could hope for.

Running hard should be a prerequisite for any middle forward not a justification that he should be in the starting lineup

For all his hard runs and efforts he still gets pushed back..... that’s ok in park footy but he playing elite level

As someone else said bench player at best

My point is why the fk is he in the leadership group? He’s only played 49 games

Tigers by 30. Mybe 2 tries and a post match interview saying how happy he is.

Two tries is a lot to expect. After he scores one try he'll be focusing on the speech he'll make after the game, how best to frame how his effort was all based on the hard work the rest of the team put in. I doubt he'll be focusing on the ball after/if he scores.

We have nothing to lose by coming firing out of the blocks and throwing the ball around adlib. Kick to the corners (or line) to keep Mbye contained, and in attack kick in behind their wingers (as Mbye always stands up in the defensive line, and they play with an umbrella defence.
