They hit a rough patch and they're immediately trying to cull players. Lodge, Brown, Paulo, Sualii even talks Sam Walker could be released.

It's crazy how they've quickly identified that Sam Walker is not the future, if it was us we'd probably hang onto him for a couple more years like Mbye.

Having said that, there really isn't much happening on the player market, I wonder who they're going to target to replace their ageing stars like Keary and Tedesco?

Being successful is being ruthless, something we have lacked. Wouldn't surprise me if Hunt goes to Roosters tbh. They have Spencer for next year, we should have got him. Keary still is good. Plus Dominic Young going there as well.

Yeah I reckon they're going to target 3 or 4 players like they did in 2013 & 18,19 premierships.

Won't be surprised if they move on B Smith. Just waiting for him to slip up and they'll sack him.

Sam Walker is not the issue. They were way better with him in the team. Their issue is that they have too many players past their peak on big money. Those types of players don't tend to try as much as when they were younger & hungrier.

So what’s the go with us then? :tearsofjoy: Mustn’t be getting paid enough

Players on big money that don't deliver. TPJ & Luke Thompson are combined getting paid this season around $1.6 million. That's way too much on 2 props that aren't delivering. Kikau is on around 850k a season & has hardly played.

All the slurping about how the Roosters are ruthless but for all of their cap cheating and stars in their squad, they've become a very mediocre team in the last few seasons that isn't a threat at all to even contend for a premiership, let alone win one. They get it wrong more often than they get it right lately and Robinson seems well past his used by date as their coach.

Rumours swirling that they want Mitchell Pearce back. Not sure why they'd bother.

Walker isn't the problem. Keary's bi monthly HIAs are.

Difference is those players are somewhat attractive and have shown in the past that they were good players. No one is going to take Corey Waddell, Okunbor, Reynolds, Perham etc off us because they aren’t attractive signings whatsoever

It's not hard to see that Sam Walker isn't their future. For goodness sake he's a chicken shit, he had to run the ball backwards against US to run down the clock just so he could hold onto the ball.
