Manly's tactic on the weekened was switching mid play and coming back down the the first receiver because our B, C defenders are lazy. RFM was always the one caught up walking 10m behind the play.

JFH who plays through the middle and who many would consider a great defender has made 530 tackles and missed 24.

It's an absolute myth. The issue with our defence is systemic and our players as a whole just aren't working effectively as a unit. Go over defensive stats and you might be surprised instead of just guessing.

And is that always his fault? The way we defend is broken. Sides like Roosters and Penrith get 3 in the tackle and they drive the attacker back and completely stop momentum...yet when we get 3 in the tackle you know damn well the very next play we're getting cut up on the edges because the entire team has been sucked infield.

There's no point blaming individuals here when a lot of it falls on the back of the coaching staff lack of leadership at the club. We simply aren't fit enough or well drilled enough to compete at a high enough level.
