they dont actuallyWhat's 550k these days...
Top wingers earn much more.
Seems to me if the club's legal eagles were totally confident of due cause, the club would have just torn up the contract. Why overcomplicate things?Because players are not employees they are contractors per the CBA. And the club owns the contract.
Legally the club can just terminate it. Maybe without due cause there is some recourse but the moment JAC went lining, the cause is there. But you know this, you're just trolling.
See ya JAC.
I know for a fact that more than few of the boys are pissed off at him. They don't want him gone, they want him to work his arse off to repay the club.
We need 2 big props and we are top 4 material
JAC is replaceable with either Wilson or Su'a
Well. Clause 11a(ii) of the standard NRL playing agreement is a basis for termination (disrepute). 11b(x) as well. 11b(x) is an anti doping violation. Which refers to the WADA list. On which under Section 6(a) under non specified stimulants is cocaine.Seems to me if the club's legal eagles were totally confident of due cause, the club would have just torn up the contract. Why overcomplicate things?
Not trolling, by the way. I'd just prefer if the club stood by a guy who is clearly battling some demons and could still be an asset on and off the field.
Clark and Mazzone are options to brostill light on wingers with Wilson, kiraz and Sua as our only wingers if ado carr does end up leaving.
So is that Burton kid.Clark and Mazzone are options to bro

Josh Addo-Carr could be a free agent as early as this week with the Bulldogs expected to grant the winger formal permission to talk with rival clubs.
It is understood clubs have already been sounded out about their potential interest in Addo-Carr should he be cut adrift by the Bulldogs for 2025.
That could happen within days with Canterbury expected to allow the NSW and Australian flyer to test the open market after informal discussions.
He has just 12 months left on his current deal worth about $500,000. The Bulldogs have already indicated they won’t be in a position to offer Addo-Carr a new deal in 2026. It means they would allow Addo-Carr to test the market and if he could secure his long-term future elsewhere they would be unlikely to stand in his way.
Addo-Carr’s agent Mario Tartak has already met with Bulldogs boss Phil Gould last Friday to discuss the 29-year-olds playing future.

The Dragons have already been mentioned as a possible destination for Addo-Carr however they most likely need to move winger Mikaele Ravalawa to help with their roster management. The Dragons have salary cap space to accommodate Addo-Carr.
Whichever club Addo-Carr goes to they will need to contend with a three game ban hanging over his head after he tested positive to cocaine in a road-side drug test.
Addo-Carr was issued with a breach notice - believed to propose a four match suspension and $15,000 fine - by the NRL on Tuesday. He has already served one match after missing Canterbury’s opening finals loss to Manly.
He maintains he has never taken any illicit substance and said as much when he met with the NRL’s integrity unit last week.
The fine portion of Addo-Carr’s latest sanction includes a $3000 suspended fine that was hanging over his head from last year’s Koori Knockout tournament.
Addo-Carr accepted a $682 fine and a three-month suspension from driving following the incident, which raised the ire of the Bulldogs and their all-powerful head of football Phil Gould.
He has also been over-looked for a Kangaroos spot having last played for Australia in their 2022 World Cup final win against Samoa.

If he has a case he would be far from the first person with a legitimate case to not go the court option. The court process is a deterrent to people seeking actual justice, it is often very hard going, and detrimental to physical and mental health. People opt out just to avoid the stress. You're right. We'd better nip this criminal element in the bud before he starts influencing other players. If we don't act now, next time it might be Max King getting done for jaywalking or something.
PS I'm sure Gus would have been thrilled if he'd taken it to court and put the club through months worth of additional negative headlines.
Just like the idiot at school who gets every in trouble because they act up then they go around trying to make you laugh.
Him not being on the field for that last match cost us big.
Cocaine is banned 'in competition' under the WADA list.Well. Clause 11a(ii) of the standard NRL playing agreement is a basis for termination (disrepute). 11b(x) as well. 11b(x) is an anti doping violation. Which refers to the WADA list. On which under Section 6(a) under non specified stimulants is cocaine.
Now under clause 11f (i to v) action can be anything from nothing to termination on the day with pay to that point.
So he can be terminated. No ifs or buts. The grounds are there to rip it up right now.
Same reason they could have sacked Topine on that wrestling day. because he was late to training. Clause 11b(vii).
So why do you not tear up his contract? Because of two reasons. The $600k does not disappear off our salary cap and the message you send to other players about how hard ass we are to take 11f(v). So best of both worlds, he has to go and you hope another club can take up the $$$'s.
But you know this. Trolling.
See ya JAC.
Exactly. Can't imagine the club would have been too thrilled about the matter being drawn out through the courts, either. And any new prospective club wouldn't want a court drama hanging over his head when he could just cop a $600 fine. Challenging it would be a no win situation, not to mention a lot more costly than just paying the fine.If he has a case he would be far from the first person with a legitimate case to not go the court option. The court process is a deterrent to people seeking actual justice, it is often very hard going, and detrimental to physical and mental health. People opt out just to avoid the stress.
