Waiting for the meltdown for when he is just suspended and fined and not sacked.
That'd suit me - not to be sacked I mean

Be interesting to see how/if it changed his demeanour (or if so - for how long).

Let's face it ... he's not the first footy player to sneak a line

And his story is pure theatre ....I've heard NIDA are interested in his services & he may give footy away altogether

OK ....lets talk Fox's Footy & forget the coke saga for a sec...

Specifically his last game v Manly

1 try ; 2 try assists ; 3 line breaks ; 188m; 7 tackle busts ; 1 offload ; 4 tackles made - 2 misses & 2 ineffective

Last 6 games - he's scored 7 tries.

We NEED that kind of output and enthusiasm (every week)!!
Why give that to another club.
Sure, he fucked up (probably...)

Let's try another angle in terms of punishment.
Keep JAC for his full contract (til the end of 2025)
Give him some MEANINGFUL community service as well as the fines etc...

But allow him to seek redemption for his actions.
We all fuck up right?
Facing up to his team mates (the ones he let down) ....has gotta be humiliating.
Give him the floor - let him explain his actions (MAKE him do it!!)
The easy road is letting him go & get a fresh start somewhere else.
Let him prove that he still wants to be here and earn back the clubs respect and support.

Bronson Xerri has been a great example of what happens when you support someone!!
Lets give Fox that support now too ....after all - he took a chance on US when nobody else would have a bar of the Dogs.
Look at all the clubs lining up for his services...

Perhaps it's time to return that favour. Forgive (don't forget) and move forward with Fox lined up for his best season in the NRL ever - scoring tries for the mighty blue & whites ....not some other club.

Cos ...I have a feeling wherever he plays next year - he is gonna be on fire

I like this

There are definitely mitigating circumstances

club first, he is still part of that club for now

people comparing this to the topime situation
Imagine the uproar, it the NRL believes his story. haha
imagine it kazzy sweetheart, dream about it think about it and post about it

I said somewhere already, probably in this thread I'd hold into him because that seems to be the standard in the game. But his continued employment with us would hinge on him going through drug tests three days a week on random days whether he's playing or out injured for a month.

I don't condone the behaviour and have been critical of other players who've gotten off without any significant punishment for it and their clubs for giving them a slap on the wrist. So at a minimum I'd be making it incredibly difficult for him to make this part of his future.

Wayne Bennett’s comment when asked about Latrell Mitchell

‘’no I’m not going to change him, I’m not an idiot, I’m just going to let him play, that’s what he does best ..

‘’yes JAC fucked up, and yes he’s probably lied .. but let those of us that have never done that throw the first stone ..

sack him, and he just gets picked up by another club straight away and makes them stronger … bugger that, we need him in our team he has X factor speed and can score from anywhere …. be like Wayne, just get him on the field playing good footy, that’s what he does best ..

He is broken, he is aging, he isn't a modern day winger.

We will be ok without him.

I see where you’re coming from, .. I do .. but not every one of your backs has to be a ball breaking metre eater, JAC adds something different .. you can’t deny he’s a game changer .. we have a lot of hard workers in our team … but none of them aside from maybe Xerri are really the type that can run away and score try’s from anywhere on the park ..

as for broken, funny how he‘s been very durable and hasn’t had a lot of injuries until they’ve tried to change his body type .. strip him back down in the off season ..

‘’tell him he’s staying, put him in the position where he knows he owes us .. and get him on the park playing footy … if he rips in and gets back to Melbourne Storm form … reward him with a new 2 year contract ..

Don't want him getting in the way of the pups development. Sua, Wilson, Mazzone and Clark all have potential.
