So, whats the Dogs plan with the salary cap? I've heard they're over it by quite a bit for next year. How do you plan to offload your crap players? I reckon you might have to do a Parra and release a couple good players to get under the cap next year.

No mate, thanks for your concern but we're sweet with Reynoldd $475, Kasiano $550, Eastwood $500, Lichaa $300 & Stanley $225 that pays for Foran & Woods and then some.

Lol ffs salary cap increase would pay Foran alone. Woods is covered by Lichaa Eastwood or Kas ffs. Someone sounds jealous cause we don't pay 700k for packer ffs

Hoppa is not a specialist fullback, last I checked, Gordon was one. I'd take Gordon over Hoppa. He has more acceleration in my opinion, is a better support player and turns 4 into 6 more often than not. That's my view anyway.

It's a short term investment for hopefully good returns. Hoppa is not our solution at the back. But, he does what he needs to do for us without being spectacular.

If we had creative halves like pearce and keary at the roosters then maybe we could get away with having him but his lack of size and passing game would do nothing for our attack. He did nothing for parra last year and towards the end of his time at cronulla

Yeh, you've only got a couple of first graders though, so you better hold on to those reserve graders or you won't be able to field a full squad.

You forgot Trex, Rona, Perett last year also with no big signings between then and now besides Brenko lee? We have cash to burn who says otherwise needs to look at the big dollars we've let go in the last 24 months and with a million dollar cap increase minimum to boot.

But tbh, we lost both perretts, and we'll be losing a whole bunch of other players as well. Let's hope no one else is backended like crazy. Tbh, the mozzles are likely to be let go (opinion). so if it isn't 2018, it's 2019 that should see us go hunting again.

We were fined about $60k but that was because of Lloyd Perrett, who had agreed to leave at the end of 2015 and we used the money to upgrade a couple of blokes and then he reneged and we were stuck with his contract plus the upgrades. We manipulated the salaries to get it down to the $80k figure but when we couldn't adjust it any further we declared it to the NRL. It's always the clubs fault when we exceed the cap but there were mitigating circumstances. This year Perretts have gone, Rona and a couple of others and we are under the cap.

Need a few more nelsons in the team like carter and glenn not millhouses like holland re-signing. We will end up with a placid team with no mongrel. Since 2014 we have been on the slide - I still think the Penrith semi final loss ie the dogs performance was the low point - all grades including hm and sgball were way off the pace last year and it appears this year as well. I have no idea who actually makes decisions but moving Cleal and Castle on is a good sign that someone recognises the need for change. We are poor on the field as a result of what decisions are made off the field - recruitment and retention, skill development, fitness, communication with supporters - all way off the pace of the well run clubs. Is it possible if Eastwood Kasiano Graham (tries hard but injuries etc caught up with him) Liccha Stanley Garvey Holland Frawley Reynolds are all let go that Cronk for one year would be achievable?
