So we have secured Foz woods and nu brown.. is that enough to have a tilt at the premiership?

Who else comes in and what will it change?

I think this season is doomed to be a rebuilding year (either scrape in the 8 and get knocked out early on miss the cut)

Hope not. Need a fullback ffs. Hopefully in Walkers ear if they signed Gagai or Holmes with Dugan going to Sharks. Also hopefully got a few forwards with mongrel like Carter and esse esse would be fairly cheap. Eastwood and Tolman out and gives us money for a fullback. Kas Lichaa fuck iff too if only we could get out of dudbye

Of course, not that they would say anything, but no mention was made of any other players at the members meet on Sunday at ANZ.. Spruiking about those they had signed and re-signed but remained tight lipped about any other player movements, coming or going. Mention was made about the Reynolds situation where a lot voiced their displeasure at him leaving, but it was explained in no uncertain terms that the club could not compromise other player negotiations by getting into a bidding was with the Tigers. Affirmed that Reynolds was offered as big a deal as the club could handle going forward and that we were unable to match or get close to the deal offered to Reynolds. Club themselves are happy with the players signed and are confident that it will benefit the club. The way I interpreted it was that salary cap is tight with not a lot of room to move.

No one really put hard questions to them though and the floor was really only open for about half dozen or so speakers due to ' time constraints"

I think we will keep hoppa. Kinda hoped we would sign a "Rockstar fullback" but doesn't seem likely. Forwards are done..

Back row I think we could get someone to replace Eastwood. When's Frizzell off contract?

Cooper Cronk is a must.

That's it & there is your premiership.

Liccha, Eastwood Holland & Kasiano gone, Mbye to 9, Hoppa at 1, Montoya at 5, teach Lee how to defend better and FFS teach some one to kick goals. Then your premiership will arrive.

What we need is a goal kicker. Fuck off Holland, play Hoppa on the wing and get Cody Walker to play fullback. Montoya can play in 2019 when we let the Morris twins go

What a joke this club has become,a total fuckup

Any chance we could sign Cooper & Peats?

Or is that just dreaming.

I read the Titans originally offered Pears $500k x 2, his manager let that offer expire now Titans have offered $450k x 3. Which he is not happy with.

Pretty sure that's us for 2018.

I'd expect some second string players to perhaps be signed but I wouldn't be holding my breathe on any other mid range players.

After woods and Foran I'm sure a few people will raise eyebrows if we secure another biggish name.

Lets hope we can still shed some dead wood. Kas and eastwood to start. Lichaa shouldn't be returning.
Hoppa is ok but not on fb money.
We are still such an unbalanced squad i can't see what des is up to working.

Still waiting for the club to sign a fullback and hooker tbh. Until they get the spine sorted they won't get close to a premiership.

I think Gordon for 1-2 years would be a great mid-range signing. He's still got life in those legs and has been one of the Roosters best. Very good goal kicker too...

If we are serious about winning a comp, it's not always about youth, it's about the right fit at the right time and he is it to solve both our specialist fullback and goal kicking voids.

Otherwise, we need to dangle a bigger carrot at a current fullback looking to jump ship or get an opportunity.

One of either Gordon at fullback or Peats at hooker will be huge for us to further bolster our spine.

We should do everything in our power to sign Latrell Mitchell as our long term fullback and shift Mbye to 9. There's your premiership.

1.Mitchell
6.Foran
7.Frawley
9.Mbye

Mitchell has all the attributes you could ask for in a fullback.

He has size, strength, power, speed and more skill in his big toe than any other player currently in our top 17. He breaks the line at will and with the right people around him he will be one of the best players in the conpetition for the next 10 years.

If his mental state is a worry then find him a mentor and put the effort into building his character and resolve.

If you want the best players in the right positions then sometimes you have to take a chance and man manage to reap the rewards. Roosters seem to be able to do it and frankly our no dickhead/cleanskin policy hasn't worked.
