Feels like our spot on the table at the end of the season will depend on whether the new players drag the rest of the squad up with them, or the old players drag the new players down to the mentality of the last two seasons.

the centres and wingers doing 100% of the rucking it out of our end was so obvious and disappointing. Works when you can get an even possession and have a Brian To’o in the team but that was just lambs to the slaughter. Kiraz is the only one of the back five that suits that plan. If we are keeping that plan then get the big bodies in the back 5 next week.
Was there some explanation for that decision? Seemed an obvious double movement but honestly can't keep up with the rules these days.

Yep exactly my thoughts. Our big names didn't deserve their pay cheques today. Talk about leading by example, did none of that and should be pulled aside early and given a talking to telling them to lift their standards because first round there is no reason for lacklustre performances like that because they've had 4 months pre season training and should have been biting at the bit to get out there and put on a performance. It's why they are paid the big bucks.
