If anyone is holding out hope that everything all of a sudden clicked for Ciraldo and he's had enough, doesn't it worry you that for the previous 25 rounds he said similar things and nothing changed?

It's obvious that the players aren't responding to whatever he's saying or doing each week because our most talented players like Fox, Kikau, Burton and Mahoney have all regressed so badly that they've gone from rep calibre to NSW Cup calibre in one season. Those players deserve a tonne of blame but if that also doesn't reflect badly on the coach, then I don't know what does.

Guarantee you he doesnt pluck anyone from Jersey flegg with them playing finals & the 1st grade squad not giving a fuck. Perham & Okenturd will run on & Floppagain will be on bench. Credit to Waddell in the sense that I dont rate him as a NRL player but at least he has a crack on the paddock. Even Edwards was fucking ordinary too today & for a young player that is a bad look for him. Anyway one more abortion to watch then hopefully Gus does a hell of a lot of horsetrading over off season and some of these flegg kids are ready for 1st grade because the squad in its current form is basically a bunch of peahearts and gravy trainers

agree around the forward pack, our pack is the worst defensive and least intimidating pack in the competition, it doesn’t matter how good or creative your outside backs are all momentum is created from the forwards….

however Ciro is a major part of the problem, the team has no game plan and never plays the same way twice.. there is no structure, little to no defence and thus a team low on confidence and devoid of ideas…

it’s a coaching and culture issue and we are clearly going backwards as a club. When you look around the comp at a lot of the ex players who were so called terrible players with us many of them are going really well and are constant first graders.
We score points when we get decent ball. We defend well in patches. Things fall apart because our middle folds time and time again. Im not blaming Ciro. He’s a good coach who inherited a lot of these players.

The only players putting in effort is waddel and Wilson. The rest of the them are pathetic. None of them deserve to be in first grade but they’ll continue to get picked. Gus and ciraldo are useless. Coach can’t coach and Gus only cares about 2-5 years down the track and not present. So glad I dont get a season pass anymore for these flogs

Your high price players, Cherry Evans, Ponga, Fafita, are not paid big $ for defensive qualities. It's their ability to create opportunities, keep defenses guessing, manage the game.
To defend you need to have defensive structures that suit to team, effective tackling technique, committed player with a good motor. These players do not have to be $million players. Part of the good defensive strategy is partially to have a good attacking strategy. Compete on all kicks to keep opponents near their try( perhaps 6 again), have attacking structure that tires opponents, have attacking structures that make more meters. That where teams have players who will do the grunt work while $million players have more energy reserves to win games.

No matter who the coach is, by round26 all the above structure sgould be in place, should have the right players to execute to plans, should choose only players that commit 100% to the game strategy. Yes injuries will have an impact, lack of game changing players will limit no of games won, however averaging 32 points per game is unacceptable. Balmain who are the wooden spoons, have leaked 100+ less points

This can not be explained by dropped balls, injuries, bad ref calls. This can not be solely attributable to the players. It is the coaches job to have players that can execute his plans including his defensive plans.

Sorry for rant I will always have the blue & white glasses on. What makes these last 10 years or so disappointing, is the 45 years prior where Dogs always competed & were semi finals contention except for the odd years.

The onus needs to be on the players. Look at how our tries are conceded. They’re not from magical set plays. They’re from simple one on one misses. Yesterday I think it was Bullemor, he ran through the middle and literally 3 ***** had him but he bumped them off. Defence comes down to desire and attitude. The players don’t give a fuck. We miss way too many tackles and teams score easy tries against us.

We only score points against inept defensive teams.
We score points mostly when the games out of reach or over
How many contests have we been in?

I don’t know how after less than one season you call call him a good coach… no coach would be termed good or bad after one season…. If he is a good coach Kevin Moore 2009 was the greatest coach ever by that logic.
