Preseason 2025

Seeing how shattered the boys were after the Manly game has stuck with me ..... I have been quietly confident ever since.

Every punter on TK was feeling the same ...... Devastation.

I was pissed off for weeks.

Our journey is just beginning.
Same here I've tried to erase it from my mind, also have not rewatched anything to do with that fn game.Wanted to smash my TV it shit me that much.

Some redemption burning inside them I'm positive of it.
Even luck and we will have a very good year and I feel improve on the 6th place finish.

Not sure why but every day that goes by I get more and more confident we are going to have a cracker season. Maybe it’s just because it’s the first stable off season we’ve had in a decade.

I actually rewatched it three times .... still hard to believe we lost.

The final pass for the try before half time to Manly was so far forward it's not funny.

First time in yonks we’ve had a settled spine and leadership group without much player turnover in the top 30

I watched it twice. There were a handful of decisions that pissed me off. In the end we lacked that one try that would've put it beyond the refs ability to steal from us. Coincidentally we did have one disallowed. But we hopefully use this to become clinical this year with attack as well as being among the best defensive teams again. I know we can't rely on the refs to give us much. So we've just got to be good enough to take piss poor calls and win regardless.

Burton being taken out was completely ignored top. From memory

There was the try manly scored from an illegal scrum play. One came on the back of a Manly knock on, one from a forward pass. I'd only call their last try of the game a fair try.

The NRL doesn't even try to make it look like they have rules that apply to both teams anymore.

I have long had the belief that the games are rigged to maximise the profit of the gambling partner, and because we have a big supporter base and a lot of people have an emotional bet on their club, it's enticing to ref us out of games and take away the money out fan base has thrown on us to win. There's not much that'll convince me otherwise.

Or the bunker howler of overturning a game winning penalty which involved Jacob Kiraz being tackled in the air and yet ruled by Klein as a Manly player going for the ball. Teams will see that and try and exploit that rule now to use against us.
