Perhaps the reason is having incapable players in certain key positions ....also hard to play footy when the team changes each week in key positions

We gave up by then, nothing went our way all year.I don't buy that.
We had our full squad to select from in the last 6 or so rounds and got worse with each game. Season couldn't end soon enough.
Usually I don't get my hopes up for the season ahead unless I can see something in the lead up or trials.
But I'm fucking petrified for next year.
That's what really disappoints me.We gave up by then, nothing went our way all year.
But I get it .hopefully the tied will turn for us.
One could argue that if we played Dragons and Tigers twice we could have got the spoon. However we could have skipped further ahead also. I'd say given our injuries, tigers deserved it more than us.We should have got it this year, we won more games than the tigers and saints . Yes our losses were bigger but we won more games so no we left 2 or 3 wins on the table as well.
What will be interesting is whether the Tigers and Dragons can overtake us in the improvement stakes. One could argue that if we played Dragons and Tigers twice we could have got the spoon. However we could have skipped further ahead also. I'd say given our injuries, tigers deserved it more than us.
I think Drag-queens implode with their first year takes a bit with a guy like Flanagan to heel the personalities over there. Ciro made some big choices but getting guys with egos like our squad had last year needed immeadiate action. I think we improve nicely this year, our injury tolls won’t impact us like last year with plenty of redundancy added to the side, maybe another forward/middle.What will be interesting is whether the Tigers and Dragons can overtake us in the improvement stakes.
Sure we might improve abit next year, but if they improve more, we will find ourselves in last place unless some other team has a disastrous season.
That ranking doesn’t tell me what I want to hear…..hence I will choose to ignore it…PREDICTED 2024 NRL LADDER
