That is why it’s so important we get the two points this weekend.

The Good Friday script is not a game we’re supposed to win.
Each and every year, no matter the form guide we have always been treated as the side show in this fixture.
This the game I want to win the most. Hope the team feels the same way

They didn't send off Sattler as they'd like to, so the NRL won't allow them to lose and we'll be reffed out of the game until it's too late, then we'll get a few 6 against when down by 30 once the damage is done.

WWE does better scripts.

Apparently we are ‘ powerhouse team players come to win a premiership with’ but also ‘conspiracy the refs won’t let us win’

So how we going to win comps with out magical players if the refs have colluded to keep us down for some unknown reason
Fuck off idiot

Well we saw Melbourne beat them last night whilst Sths had more than 2 thirds of the ball. If there is ever a scripted you follow that one.

Souths are a weird team so far this year. Latrell been very quiet. Walker also, but when he injects himself his lethal this year. Watching them though, don’t understand their gameplan. They have been prolific on the left side, yet have mainly been going right.

Knowing them and Latrell they explode on Friday. Meant to be a cracker of a day Friday. Might head out to the game, Good Friday has always been my favourite regular season game. Haven’t been in 4 years now with covid and kids.

We have been a poor team for the past six years, and this is obviously the main reason the results haven't gone our way. But we still get screwed regularly by referees: sometimes this has cost us a game - like last week - and sometimes it has increased the margin of defeat.

I don't think most referees set out to shaft us, though. Due to a combination of lousy rule drafting and rubbish use of the technology, you get lots of incidents in a game in which the decision could go either way. Historically these went the way of the home team, but, in more recent times, they go overwhelmingly to the team that is expected to win anyway, which isn't us! When we play other struggling teams, we usually get a fair go from referees.

Expect this to change as we climb the table.

Hate this fixture lately. The build up bills it as an anything likely to happen contest but we all know what happens for the Bunnies on the Easter long weekend. It kicks off inevitably with the Bulldogs battling against the ref, invariably a Sutton and a Rabbit's team who can do no wrong.
The yearly comeuppance has a 'but what about the children' vibe and the commentators will ring the bell to sound the beginning of the feast and will be accordingly riding Fatrell and the Easter Bunnies all the way to the chocolates.

The outlier is the Bulldogs don't always read the script and go at it like an adopted sibling scrapping for the last slice of pizza with a 'fuck you parents' attitude. The Bunnies, with the maternal parent (read ref) on their side, will usually have already had more then their fair share of pizza by the time it gets down to the last slice and feel they are entitled to it.
This is where Ciraldo needs to use the short turnaround to foster the historical hatred of his adopted Bulldogs towards the Easter Wabbit. We voted for these ***** to be even allowed a seat back at the table.
We have to make sure we have already had our fill before the maternal parent decides who gets the last slice of pizza ffs.
An almost poetic piece of work, belmore_utd.

We are always done over in this round, and all because James Graham put his body on the line to stop a late field goal by risking a kick to the head from Reynolds. It went wrong, but there was no malice. However the reaction from the crowd, the referee, and the media has turned the incident into a game where the Bunnies must always exact vengeance for a "crime" that will never go away.

The marketing demands that the Bulldogs start the game as potential thugs, and are treated accordingly for the whole 80 minutes while the princely Rabbits rise above the grubby Dogs to claim another glorious victory.

The media is also focused on the Bulldog supporters, looking for a headline. It's a game I will never attend due to the provocation by Souths supporters who feel they are untouchable in this round.

Souffs are already a quality side, you add in ref assistance and they are incredibly difficult to beat.

I’d be thinking outside the box in how to get two points from that game. We need Reynolds to get at Walker early.
And get sent off? Because that is what will happen.

We can’t die wondering, personally I’d be giving license to certain players to start a blue.
What's the point? We know that our players will be marched, and made an example of to other teams.

You’re right, I can’t see how we outclass them in terms of football with the Gun as our halfback.

Every year this game comes around I feel like the only way we can win is with the dark arts and grit.

Souffs against us is a mismatch for many years now. They’ve got too much strike and their forwards win the battle.

Been running the numbers for the clash this year and it may be different to past encounters.

Dogs beat the storm comfortably, storm beat souffs therefore we should flog Souffs…….

The science seems solid……. Hahaha
Gotta follow the science. Fact over fiction. That's a fact Jack. C'mon man the script is written. We will get the chocolates in '23. In CC we trust.
