One thing i do like about Kyle is that he dosen't force the pass.

If it's not on he takes the tackle.

His outside supports would appreciate this.

Also underrated for his support play.
my only concern is that he has no running game, so as a defender you just hold off and slide in defence because you know he is no threat.

Totally agree .... he is very limited.

I just like how he is playing to those limits.

agree, what is helping him is the emergence of Kiraz, he is becoming a threat on the right edge at centre

Any half is going to look better with good players around him.

Kiraz has been a find that's for sure.

Has some mongrel and more pace than i thought.

Yeah i wonder what the story is ... he was in their top thirty.

If i'm not mistaken he has been at Saints, Knights, Titans and now us by the age of twenty.

It's just the odd way sport (and especially Australian sports is) a lot to factor in, politics, environment, luck of injuries, coaches preferences in what they want in a player, etc.

I initially took it as a bit of a red flag.

St Helens has a historical win rate of 69% and he took over from the 74% winning Daniel Anderson who actually won Cups and Championships while Mick didn't, furthermore he had losing records with the Dragons and Bulls.

But that doesn't tell the whole story of his profile. I just don't think he's a drawcard, maybe that doesn't matter because we have Gus, maybe it does - we'll never really know.

Edit: If he could continue to get results out of the team for the rest of the year then it could be investigated but I think we're on a tighter schedule then that.
Saints losing 09 GF wasn't a bad result in regard to coaching. That Leeds Rhinos side was an impressive outfit.
