Not asking for links or anything of the sort, however im genuinely curious as to how people see these vids? Surely they would have to have been posted on social media sites to circulate so quickly?

I’m worried about the Panthers team this year. Been working on their penetration big time in the off season. I see them scoring a lot of points.

Now that May has been charged, will he be suspended by the NRL indefinitely? or is it not severe enough like in the case of DeBellend

Rugby League General... where we share things about all clubs.

It's social media. Minute one person posts it, it might hit many followers.

Well MAX sentence is 3 years prison per offence, and he's been hit with 2 offences per video (one for filming and one for releasing it). So 4 x 3 = 12 years potential sentence.

So I'd say yes.

Yeah but the maximum sentence for each of the offences is 3 years so it doesnt fit unless they apply the special circumstances bullshit clause thing

Clubs could employ escorts to target opposition players, film them then release the videos in the week leading up to big games..sounds like a tactic the sharks might consider..

Distributing private sex images deserves the maximum penalty, should be mandatory.

In cases like this most likely he will get to serve the sentences concurrently.

NRL Integrity Unit clear ex-Panthers player over sex tape leaks
The NRL have cleared a former Penrith Panthers player over the release of sex tapes that have embroiled a trio of the club’s stars.

On Monday the Panthers revealed they were aware of another lewd video circulating on social media just days after two videos were leaked allegedly showing Panthers utility Tyrone May, engaging in a sex act.

However The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio confirmed on NRL Tonight on Tuesday that the former player in question was found not to have a case to answer by the NRL Integrity Unit.

“There were some allegations leveled against a former Panthers player,” Riccio told NRL Tonight.

“I won’t name the player, however that player was interviewed by the NRL Integrity Unit today.

“He was cleared of his involvement and I think that’s where the case will close on his behalf.”

The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie revealed on Monday night to NRL Tonight that Tyrone Phillips and Liam Coleman were two of the players in the latest video.

The NRL’s Integrity Unit has added that to its investigation with the club assisting with inquiries.

Coleman is already facing indecent assault charges from an incident in the off-season also involving Wests Tigers prop Zane Musgrove.

Tyrone Phillips has also been linked to the sex tapes
On Monday night NRL.com reported the Panthers passed on the name of a player from a rival club to the Integrity Unit who they believe could be the source of the leaked videos.

Then Fairfax reported that the player is a former Panther and he will be interviewed on Tuesday.

Nine’s Danny Weidler, then claimed May was threatened late last year with the release of a sex tape.

“May was first confronted with a sex video which emerged from a teammate’s phone on the night before the Panthers played the Storm in Round 25 last year,” Weidler told Nine News.

“He received a threat at the time that the video was about to be made public, a ploy that was designed to put him off his game.”

It comes as NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg indicated Tyrone May and the Penrith players involved in the latest video scandal won’t be suspended despite the code’s snowballing dramas.

However May has been since stood down by the NRL, after handing himself in to police and being charged.

Greenberg opted against banning Canterbury prop Dylan Napa last week for being seen in lurid videos, fearing players could be specifically targeted if such a precedence was established.

And he said unless any new videos emerged that were filmed from March onwards, that wouldn’t change.

“I think I made the line pretty clear last week,” Greenberg said. “That we’re dealing with historical considerations we’ll deal with it. Just like we did last week and just like we’ll do with this one.

“Rugby league players are high profile.

“It’s another reminder to rugby league players that we don’t judge just their performance on the field, equally they’ve got obligations off the field and they need to be very careful.

“It can have very dire consequences if it goes wrong.” The bigger fear from both the players and the game though is when the video scandals will end.

Liam Coleman is already facing indecent assault charges.
Napa’s video was one of the headlines of a nightmare summer for the league and there are rumours many more featuring other players exist.

“I’ve heard lots of rumour and innuendo about lots of historical videos and if they are or aren’t out there,” Greenberg said.

“I don’t know if they are. I can only deal with what’s put in front of me. “We’ll deal with it. We’ll move on quickly but there’s clearly some others that have come out recently and again we’ll just deal with it. And we’ll get on with it.”

It also has players on edge, with Penrith co-captain Josh Mansour admitting some could be distracted ahead of the season if they knew there was a chance they could feature.

“That’s what’s so scary about it,” Mansour said. The person who is leaking the videos, what are his motives?

“I know I’m not (on edge), I’ve got nothing to worry about.

“But obviously some people have videos out there that are private and if they get put in the wrong hands, I would definitely be worried (if I was them), no doubt.” Mansour also said other players were becoming embarrassed by the situation, with the NRL’s off-season from hell lingering towards round one.

“I think if one person goes through it we’re all kind of reflected by that one individual,” he said.

Just going to quote myself again.

- Don't discuss the content of any potential videos either, as this could put the site squarely in the spotlight of investigators looking into these videos.
- Don't infer or mention any names unless you can back your post up with a media link. We can hide behind media links as the basis for a comment, but can't if you post something and it is incorrect/defaming.

AGAIN a reminder to everyone posting that your posts end up cached to Google search engine results within 4 hours odd of posting, and it's a prick to get those posts / search results removed by Google.

UNLIKE THE MEDIA, this site is not afforded the luxury of using the excuse of posts being made "in the publics interest".

SO AGAIN

TO ANYONE POSTING IN THIS THREAD, PLEASE ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING:
1. Do NOT mention any other names except for those reported by the media in these scandals. This includes the identities of those that may be in the videos but not named by a media outlet.
2. Do NOT ask for links, or PMs, or anything in relation to finding and viewing the videos. It is possible this will become a revenge porn crime.
3. Do NOT insinuate, name, or infer the names of any players that may be presumed to leaking such videos.

Posts on the above will be removed, and those breaching the above multiple times will be removed from the thread.

If your post disappears, it's because you breached one of the above comments, or quoted someone replying to a conversation that broke the above.

If too many posts end up removed thread will just be closed and topic "off limits".

Tyrone May stood down by NRL.

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/ma...ge-over-sex-tape-scandal-20190305-p511tv.html

Penrith playmaker Tyrone May has been stood down by the NRL after being arrested and charged for allegedly filming and disseminating sexual acts with two women without their knowledge and consent.

The NRL released a statement on Tuesday afternoon which confirmed the 22-year-old has been stood down until the matter is settled in court.

"That is a matter for the courts,” NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said.

“Our new policy provides for the automatic stand down of players on a no-fault basis where they are charged with serious criminal matters.

“It also provides discretion for players to be stood down for other matters, particularly where the criminal allegations involve women.

“In the circumstances of the current charges I have determined to place Tyrone May on a no-fault stand down. The no-fault stand down will remain in force until the court proceedings are concluded.”

Penrith released a statement saying the club supported the NRL's decision. “The decision to stand down Tyrone May is not about passing judgement on guilt or innocence,” Panthers Chairman David O’Neill said in a statement.

“Panthers acknowledges the seriousness of the charges and agrees the decision is in the best interests of the game. May will continue to train with the club and we will work closely with the NRL and the RLPA to ensure his wellbeing.”

Police will allege that the 22-year-old filmed sexual encounters with two women in February and May last year, without their knowledge.

While the sexual acts were consensual, police said neither of the women knew they were being filmed.

May then allegedly distributed the recordings without their consent.

Police say that the women became aware of the existence of the videos - one allegedly filmed in February 2018 in Coffs Harbour and the other allegedly filmed in Kingswood in May - in the last few days and contacted police.

May's two alleged victims are "independent" and "unrelated", Detective Superintendent Brett McFadden told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.

The Penrith Panthers player has been charged with intentionally recording an intimate image of another person and intentionally distributing an intimate image of another person.

He said the two women learned that the videos were allegedly circulating on social media when they were told by their family and friends.

"As you would appreciate, this is a serious breach of the privacy of our [alleged] victims," he said. "The difficulty is compounded because there are other members of the community unreasonably implicated in these matters. That's caused its own level of difficulty."

While there are four videos circulating online, police said they are investigating two alleged victims.

"Investigation into anything further forms part of the scope of what we are doing," Detective Superintendent McFadden said.

Asked whether May was himself threatened with the release of the videos ahead of a game against the Melbourne Storm last year, Detective Superintendent McFadden said he had "no information concerning that".

On Tuesday morning, May handed himself in at Penrith police station where he was charged with two counts of recording intimate image without consent, and two counts of disseminate image without consent.

May spent two hours inside the police station and refused an interview with officers, Detective Superintendent McFadden said.

The high-profile player was allowed to exit via the back of the police station, in order to avoid the waiting media.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on May 1.

Panthers chief executive Brian Fletcher said the NRL club was "aware of the charges".

"I've spoken to Tyrone May and he will vigorously deny the charges," he said in a statement.
