ok, heres the deal. i want to treat this girl i like to a lfe changing expierience. one where the WOW!! factor is off the scale.

2. take her to "altitude" restaurant at the shangri-la hotel for dinner, followed by checking into their harbour executive suite. this suite overlooks the harbour bridge and has a massive bathroom and bathtub. the bathtub is flush against the window, so you can bath and watch the harbour. as this is in sydney i can prepare it better. so will line the floors of the room with rose petals, prepare the bathtub with oils etc. and fill it with rubber duckies.

help a love struck fool :grinning:
Mother of god, can I do a kennel version of that show "Wife swap" and i'll swap places with your girl!!! Damn! lol.

I agree option with option 2, however it has a rather extravagant price tag. But that's a very romantic idea. I wouldn't go with the Melbourne idea, you never know what could go wrong with travel arrangements, bookings etc. Trust me, I know. Keep it local. I've stayed at the Shangri-La and had dinner at Altitude as a surprise birthday present from my b/f and trust me he didn't need to do much else for the rest of the night LOL.

But you don't need to spend extravagant amounts, I mean a king room would be just as good wouldn't it? Dinner @ Altitude is pricey enough as it is. But you sound like this girl is worth every penny...so go with what you think is right. I absolutely loved Shangri-La, and Altitude was fabulous! But keep it simple, because the more you 'over-plan' these sorts of things, the more they tend to turn to custard. Just book the room, a table at the restaurant - arrange to take her out to dinner (but don't tell her where, just arrange to meet up somewhere) and let the rest of the night sort itself out!

Melbourne might be a good idea for an "anniversary" type occasion..but I say option 2.

All the best for your romantic extravaganza, if this doesn't do anything for your girl, then the rest of us girls will form an orderly queue! lol

thanks for your input. it has to be the suite at shangrila. the bathtub is against the window. she loves her baths so this is the ultimate bath scenario overlooking sydney harbour. now its just a matter of wait and see. if things go right then i sure will do this. otherwise it will be time to move on.

if shes into animals you can drive up to dubbo... get to know each other during the drive up there. then stay at the hotel in the zoo, You get to hang around the zoo at night, three course meals and breakfast is provided etc. It's very WOW.

I think thats romantic anyway.

i dont see whats so romantic about hanging out in a hotel room. its about what you do out of there that is WOW. Even catch the ghan to alice springs, or take the boat down to tasmania. Geez people... its not about hotels and shopping.

Take your $1000 and go solo to A Touch Of Class.

That romantic shiznitz just ain't worth it. You never get your props no matter how much you spend on a broad.

Wow! How romantic lol..
I'm sure your girl would love either of these things
And Yeah.. the 2nd option sounds better.. Melbournes too cold lol and the first one means you can plan it better and make it more special.. plus it can be more of a surprise

(btw first post.. hi everyone .. )

Honestly? I think Option 1 has more WOW factor. Not only will she get to see Melb - but she will also be shopping (and lets face it, the shopping in Melb is better than here), but she will also get to spend the night in a fancy hotel!

Dude, just take her to Manly look out at night. All you can see is the lights over the water and the city, and it is totally free to get in. But there's a few "parkers" there so try and avoid them and you'll be right! Oh and do something either before hand of afterwards.
