Matt Utai needs to be re-signed

People expect players to be at peak after coming off long lay off's due to injury.
They have no fuken clue and should shut their mouths on commenting on football when they have no clue

Matt's last 2 games are form he had 4, 5 years ago, even before the injury he hadn't played this good in years

He has been good in every game this year bar the first one

his running has always been good, even when he was out of form. It was his defense that was a worry, but thats gotten better as his confidence has risen

With players like Winitana, and especially the plick Tonga giving their wiongers no support whatsoever when the opposition put up the high ball, it always adds more pressure on Utai and admittedly is not that great under the highball too. If he had an inside centre who could give him great cover, he would be better under the high ball.

Forget the abilities of the bulldogs FG squad, if half of them play with the determination and the ferocity in which Utai plays, then we wouldnt be in this position that we are now about to collect the wooden spoon.

He has been one of the few having a real go lately and deserves another year at least.

One of the things the team lacks is spark, and Matty has plenty.

utai is the extra forward needed this year.he has applied himself well and really looks the goods for a wing pos next season.his dummy half runs are awesome.its his high ball and defensive lapses that many had right to worry about but as of late not an issue.with a tall centre inside him 2009 who can tackle that will help a lot.good on ya utai you stepped up.

Yeh hes been good in attack and i like him being there for that, but he still cant tackle.

Its amazing. The bloke is a winger, yet has been our best, or near our best for most games he has played since coming back and adds something to this team no one else does:

Quick play the balls! Probably the quickest in the comp.

If we had a better team, we would be able to better utilise that aspect as he always gets us on the front foot in attack, from almost any position and situation.

Only worrying thing was today he came off his wing alot to cut up the middle of the field. Good in practice but leaves the wing wide open.

You know, to be honest chuck Utai in the centres as he seems to go well cutting through the centre of the field.

Maybe put Idris or someone outside of him
