Such great news
Do you think its possible they didnt want to come here because we had little money.I really doubt we sign him if Pay was still coach. Pay was a hindrance to making signings no one wanted to come here and play for him it looks like Tbaz is the opposite.
Do you think it’s possible they didn’t want to come here because Pay was a coach with a terrible reputation around the game? Two things can be true.Do you think its possible they didnt want to come here because we had little money.
Unfortunately no chance Grant is coming here. Cam Smith said he won't get in the way of Grant and co so it looks like he wont be at Melbourne next year if he plays on. Melbourne's dominance will continue with Grant, Munster and Paps running the show alongside the Eastern Bulldogs, the riff and hopefully the Dogs.If we somehow were able to secure Grant then it would be one of the best Xmas' ever. We would also be setting ourselves up for another golden era by securing an amazing talented young spine.
Please Cameron Smith play on another season and if we get Grant, I'll always include 'GOAT' after your name when mentioning you on The Kennel.
Yep zero chance of grant. Just ain’t happeningUnfortunately no chance Grant is coming here. Yes,Yes,Yes,YES!!!!Sign Leniu for 2022 too, that'll free up some money for them to retain Crichton, Luai, etc. .
MaloneyBesides Jai Arrow, anyone else remember when a club did not release a player early cause they'd signed with another club?
Which is way too long ago. That was also the last time we had some serious junior development as well, although the last couple of seasons has seen an improvement in that area.Signings have been a problem even going back to Hasler. He either signed the wrong players or paid overs. The last decent recruiting would be under Moore/Mulholland.
Plus he potentially blocks another talented youngster from coming through who may then look elsewhere.agreed... the only downsides for the Panthers in keeping Burton for next year would be in developing him as a player further for the benefit of us from 2022 onwards
i also wonder what impact Burton getting a prolonged stint in FG at the Panthers next season and excelling would have on their squad... imagine he stars and then keeps Luai out of the team only for Burton to leave at season's end
Hasler's patented back ended contracts were sufficient for his stint to be a failure when it came to recruitment and retention... and then when you consider we made Mbye virtually a million dollar a season player under Des, signed only Woods from the Tigers Big 4 when our spine was screaming for creativity, signed T-Rex to a multi-year multi-million dollar contract only for him to end up a park footballer, disposing of Ennis to the Sharks so that he could win an elusive premiership while banking on Lichaa, signing an admittedly great winger in Brett Morris on fullback money, playing wingers in general at fullback (eg. Perrett), letting go of the likes of Finucane and Taupau etc.Signings have been a problem even going back to Hasler. He either signed the wrong players or paid overs. The last decent recruiting would be under Moore/Mulholland.
which could be the case considering the amount of juniors the Panthers havePlus he potentially blocks another talented youngster from coming through who may then look elsewhere.
Yeah it was optimistic. The HMAS Grant sailed last year.Unfortunately no chance Grant is coming here. I wouldn't go anywhere near Nasheed's oil, fear of what he would love to do next with it.You sly bastard lol was it a wild guess or has nasheed given you some oil lol.
'We were able to sign DWZ on decent money, bring Thompson over early but there will forever be people willing to make excuses for Pay and his lack of ability. Even Anderson cut him loose knowing he wasn't the coach to take us forward yet there'll always be those willing to make excuses. Anyway thankfully that's history now.Do you think it’s possible they didn’t want to come here because Pay was a coach with a terrible reputation around the game? Two things can be true.
the Storm's ability to rejuvenate their squad after losing great talents and servants to the club such as Inglis, Cronk, Slater, Folau etc. has been awesome but they potentially lose Cameron Smith and Craig Bellamy in consecutive seasons... if so, they will drop back into the pack IMOUnfortunately no chance Grant is coming here.
