Chn didnt want to be with us anymore. I don't think we really cared about a player swap
Maybe not. Still, I think this if we were playing Brisbane and Nth Qld they probably wouldn't have loaned us these players.

I’d take horsborough on a permanent basis easy
Even if he’s a sook
He’s got aggression
Line soeed
Actually gives a fcuk
Neat offload and can play big mins

Only injuries have held him back last 12months
So he's what people think Featherington is?

It's no coincidence that we play the Warriors and Newcastle the next two weeks who are both competing with Canberra for a top 8 spot. The Raiders aren't doing this to help us out, they're trying to make us more competitive so we can maybe help them make the finals.

Once again the NRL has opened a massive can of worms without thinking about the repercussions and how clubs will exploit these rules.
It also gives them match fitness, just in case they are called upon for the finals..

Definitely. Meanwhile we give contracted players less minutes to develop all so we can be more competitive when in reality we're going to get the spoon regardless.

What if one or both have great games and run for 200 plus metres? We can't get too excited because they're not our players and in another week they'll be back with Canberra. The whole situation is bizarre.

Ryan James fully fit is a handful and Corey Horsburgh is underrated in my opinion. Unfortunately, Corey has the stigma of leaving the field in tears (can’t recall the incident) but feel he’s been unfairly judged in this regard. He’s got a solid carry and post contact meters, definitely see these two as an upgrade from Napa and Hetherington…who knows, could be a try before you buy scenario also… loving Gus!!

There's actually no middle forwards left to develop.. ramanous won't be here next year and has shown nothing, Britt likewise and we'll stimpson, yes he's here for another year, but there's nothing left for him to develop.. Patolo is no where near ready for big minutes and starting in first grade..

Tbh I'm glad we aren't forced into playing players that are worse than what we've already seen this year..

Even though we are a lock for the spoon, it would be still nice to jag a win by the end of the year and maybe ruin someone elses season.. like Newcastle for instance..

We could have put Elliott up front with Ava and started Topine for instance. Like you said, this helps Canberra by keeping these players outside the 17 match fit. I'd rather see Topine play then give 50 plus minutes to two Canberra players.

Imagine being Britt? Club coming last has 5 front rowers out due to injury/suspensions and you still can't get a look in. Brutal.

Not sure how anyone can be against this to be honest. Shows we're not rolling over for the rest of the season and we actually want to try and win football games. Smart outside the box thinking by Gus as well. He made sure he made a point of complimenting the NRL's leadership too in that press release. He's gone into full politician mode. Knows what he's doing and you love to see it.

Exactly

Absolute bullshit to say it’s stopping anyone from getting a game. They have had 20 fuckin weeks to press their claims !!!!

With our record with the refs and the judiciary this year Canberra will come to regret this loan when James gets done for 3 weeks for a high tackle that a player in any other team would have been merely penalised for, and Horsborough cops a 4 week ban for something similar.

I wonder if our other players will pick up their game in an unconscious effort not to be embarrassed in front of the new guys...

The opposite is more likely, the new guys will get sucked into our malaise.

Genuinely interested to see how they slot in, will they look like bulldogs players playing in our game plan or will we see some non bulldogs shit going on
