Hopefully he goes back to sharks. If we have too many ex bulldogs players all over the place we will struggle to win a hand :p (the bulldogs curse where they play their best game against us).

Atleast at the sharks Barba and trex will rip us apart next season :p makes no difference if lichaa scores a double along with Williams and Barba's hattricks :p

If he goes to the tigers he will smash us and we lose our guarantee 4 points :p

Interesting comment.
I didn't see the wheelsfalling off like they did this season after round twenty.
Not sure anyone did, including Des.
Also Lichaa while no good in my opinion was no way the worst player in the team in the last 7 weeks of the season.
Again, my opinion these six players put in some off the worst performances I have seen from players in a Bulldogs jersey.

Holland - not a first grader.
Fualolo - out of puff after 5 minutes and can't tackle.
Toman - I don't know what happened him.
Browne - constantly missed tackles / no go forward.
Williams - fuck off and don't look back.
Mybe - went missing badly. Played ok in QF but put in shockers before that.
I agree with those players, but I would still persist with Mbye. I think he will come good, he does show signs of it just not enough. Maybe change of coach or structure, that still doesnt give him a pass for going missing though. He went missing in big games because 1 the structure didnt help him and he used that structure as a crutch. He still could have inkected himself into the game more if he tried, he just didtnt. Overall just a shit year. For the love of god the board has to do something, sitting back wiating for HAsler to go inst good enough. I blame Des for failing these past five years, but everything from now on in is all the boards fault if they let him stay.

I agree Mybe has a lot of talent.
He will in the squad to 2020 at least.
But he is not a halfback.

I feel for Lichaa on this, been treated like shite IMO. All on Des this one.
Disagree GrogDog, he has had 2 years to pull his finger out, I thought he would work out OK but, I was wrong as a dummy half you need to be able to pass as good from left to right and right to left without having to turn yourself inside out trying to do so.
EG: M'Bye as in Freddy's Pass off!! + the fact he has questionable defensively.
Mick Ennis would leave him for dead in defence, you can't blame Des either as a mater of fact I believe he let Des and the team down big time in 2016.
He was given a fair go to prove himself.

Hope Lichaa Gets to finish the last yr of his contract. To see Lichaa, Mbye, Reynolds and Abbey come good and produce a devastating spine would be lovely to see.

Yes i would have rejected it , It's like if someone offered you the CEO's position of a successful corporation .
It's unethical and deceitful to assume you can do what they're doing without experience. Sucked in to the big head hope he cops shit for being a greedy arrogant prick.
I'd take the CEO's position at the roosters.
I'd fuck that club so quickly, it'd be unrecoverable.

Same. First few things i would do is:

1. Sign a fullback who doesnt play sundays

2. Invest in ageing outside backs

3. Buy 2 running halves

4. Buy a hooker who cant pass from the ground

5. Invest heavily in forwards

6. Keep my members out of the loop

7. Buy a stubborn old school coach

..... oh wait......... lol

I don't know but I can almost guarantee it'll begin with.
Hi nasheed here.
Why wouldn't it? Nasheed is my name after all.

Firstly, I want to make it clear that I have always been against the Lichaa acquisition from day dot. If you don't believe me, ask boxer17 or Jacobshade, I wasn't a fan then and I'm not a fan now. I e had many an argument with my friend in Taree who is a Bulldogs tragic . I just didn't rate him. He couldn't even keep his place against Damien cook last year, and the geniuses that are decided to punt Cook and keep the one Cookie emasculated.

Secondly, I don't have anything against either using Craig Garvey at hooker, I like his Josh Reynoldsesque grunt, or moving Reynolds or mbye to the number 9 and concentrate on sourcing a new half. You can find a thread I posted on this topic elsewhere in the discussion forum under 'sourcing a new half'.

Thirdly,
Why the hell did we not go for Robbie Farah? Tigers were virtually offering to pay almost all his salary and he is a tackling machine who offers creativity out of dummy half, that's exactly what we need!!

What's more, he is a Bulldogs junior and an ARAB! With the Canterbury Bulldogs supporter base 80-90% Arab,The powers that be missed an absolute trick by not uploading an instant crowd favourite to the team. Lichaa didn't just go to the toilet against the panthers. We've known how bad he was for a while, we could have replaced him with the Arabic NSW origin hooker in the cheap and we missed it.

Fourthly,

Going forward, given the above has already sailed, we need to explore what we want from a hooker. Do we want a creative hooker like Cam Smith or Peter Wallace or do we want a hardnut machine in the Nathan friend and Matt ballon mould. I suspect the latter and that's why we passed up Farah and Cook.

If we want that then we should offer Nathan Friend a deal. Yes he's retired, but that's clearly because peats had arrived. Guys fit as a fiddle and a machine. He will definitely accept an offer.
Failing that we should really look to get josh Reynolds in there.

If we want an attacker, why don't we Pursue Damien Cook again? His run last year towards the back end was '09 Haynesque. I hadn't seen a run home like that since parramattas surge way back when. Yet, we dumped him. At least he understands the place. Jeff Robson is also an accomplished number 9, so perhaps we can use him for his structured edge.

Failing all that, we have another option,and it's a serious One;

We go overseas, where there is a current plethora of Hooking talent.

We have Jamie Soward who can easily be turned into a hooker, and the big one, Joel Segeyaro.

Segeyaro is a game breaker, an attacking maestro who got shafted for why? He hung out with a bunch of lebs at the casino? Was photographed having dinner. Big whoop, that's me every Friday night with the sick ***** at Awafi. If I was in the nrl I should be there still.

Segeyaro;
-wants to come back to oz
-is a game breaker
-an accomplished attacksmen
-and my favourite. He would come cheap given his predicament! Why not give him a 2 year deal that equates to under a bill over two seasons and at the very least, buy some time ?

Things like passing are coachable. I couldn't pass left to right until it was coached and practiced. I have genuine questions over what exactly is done at our training sessions because I think every person in our team have skills that have gone backward in the last 3 years.
