Controversial opinion maybe but apart from one loose carry I thought he was very very good. Yes that drop really swung momentum but he was doing everything on his own. Jake Todd started with him and is just too small to start the game and got monstered, was good later when fatigue set in. Patolo, Tetavano and Edwards are all still getting match fit and got really gassed. Without Knight we lose that game. I would have him in the 17 to play the sharks instead of Morrin. Our best chance of beating the sharks is with Knight in the side and prey he has a good game without any errors.

Rubbish. You're thinking of the 2023 model "Waddells" only (recency bias). How easily his 2021/22 form is forgotten.

In those years, just like the current Knight, he was penalty prone, had d!(ks for fingers, and lacked penetration.

Not a good thing on or off the field I would suggest, but on the latter we should probably defer to Mason's expertise.

I thought Salmon was comparatively poor, compared with some reasonable trial form. Several very poor reads in defence.

I'd be inclined to start Curran and put Salmon to the bench this week.

Knight seems tentative on impact when carrying the ball -and defensively he seems too slow to be able to adjust - his match stats on Saturad looked ok on paper though
