neck up you pelicans

Lewis hadnt played a game in a month so his match fitness wouldnt be the best so when Foran the wafer biscuit went down he had to do everything so of course he struggled

if Wakeham was playing it would have been worse
Wipe your mouth, you missed a spot

Can anyone explain why the Foxsports commentary team were so positive on Lewis? Surely their bosses pick a player from each team who have decent public speaking and media skills as the golden boys because it was bordering on criminal how much they were talking Lewis up

Lewis is a skilful and gutsy player. He doesn’t shirk from tackling the tough guys like the Burgess. Unfortunately he’s not in a system that has helped him to develop and like many others are in a rut. In a system like the roosters, storm or even with Ricky at the raiders, he would be much better player. He’s only as good as he’s environment.

He's only getting game time because of this environment he would be lucky to make the Roosters reggies team.

None of the players that played yesterday would make the 17 at the Roosters!
But I agree about Lewis that he would be at the bears if there was a comp, but he has the skills it’s just that he has been wasting himself out there with all the drama of the last few years like the Morrisses. He would improve in fitness and technique at the storm or Roosters. All the dogs are shot with the only hope is to fight away from the spoon with the lame broncos. Unfortunately the dogs are losing that dogfight!

Only skills Lewis has is a good front on tackle technique and a big inaccurate boot everything else is miles off what's needed for a half.

Poor game management, no running game, poor to average ball skills, poor short kicking game and prone to make defence read errors.

There's not enough basic skills there to work with to make something of him as a player.

I thought his kicking game first half was positive.... Shame he couldn’t keep it simple second half

Yeah first half was great I'm not sure why we went away from that?

Our best chance of winning that game was to slot a field goal when we had those sets on the Dragons goal line with 12 mins left on the clock. Instead Lewis ends the set with a chip kick straight to the Dragons for a 7 tackle set and the doubles down with a high tackle.

The field goal wouldn't have guaranteed us victory but we didn't really look like scoring a try that whole second half and that extra point would have put score board pressure on the Dragons.

I thought it was funny(but not really) with a few minutes to go at 22 all the commentators were saying when we had the ball in their 20m "will Lewis go for the field goal having only ever kicking one in his career".
I was thinking in no way in hell is Lewis thinking field goal to lock up the game...
No game management what so ever!!

The shallow bombs and mistimed grubber that led to a line break? Foran kicks were impressive not Lewis.
