Karl Oloapu

If that’s the simple answer then we use that to get pahulu released from titans somehow. Make dolphins give titans something or someone the want back.

disappointing as I’d like to of see a season or 2 with him coming off the bench.

the fact our club is having issues with him playing medically is a concern though. Hope the kid is ok and doesn’t risk serious issues by pushing to hard to fast.
The Dolphins do have a few halves, Titans need a half,I just don't see what the Dolphins would gain by taking Oloapu atm

Mann turns 32 at the start of March. Would be disappointing to lose his natural successor, especially after we paid the transfer and (rightly) nurtured him through rehab.
Sad to see him go because of his potential. I hope Curran can transition to the lock role. I know he plays a different game to Mann.

KO has looked like a 1st grader from day 1. I wouldn't be putting much faith in rumours from a FB site, even if the broken clock got one right recently.
After going thru the last 12 months with his neck condition, surgery and rehabilitation it'll be great to see him get back on the field, preferably in a doggies jersey.
If he leaves, good luck to him, I'm sure he'll be a 1st grader wherever he lands.
Well said.
I don't give a flying phark about contract $$ or the transfer fee which was this or that amount blah blah why care it's all inconsequential imo.
I care about the kid who as you say demonstrated that he subject now to fitness is a proper first grader with probably a high ceiling.
I would be sad to see him go as well though this isn't confirmed yet there is a fair bit of noise about that scenario.
Assume the reasons are the right ones and that it had become untenable regarding him playing getting cleared promptly and or any other contributing factors.
This was not a fail at all, just pure bad luck with a serious condition coming to light creating an unfortunate set of circumstance and uncertainty for a fine young man who just wants to play footy.
If it turns out he is leaving i also wish him all the best.

Todd likely to push for lock spot. Good size mobile does plenty of work with good foot work and ball skills fits the ciraldo mould.
Adds another big body with the ball.

I reckon Curran could well in that role. We've also got Damon Marshall coming through the grades. King has also played some 13 before. They're all very different to Mann and KO, but we have depth in that position already (Mann, Salmon, Hayward, Morrin, Curran, Sitili, King, Marshall, Todd).. basically we are stacked for options.

Marshall doesn’t look big enough to make it as nrl prop agree more likely to end up as backrower. Keen to see if he steps up in 25.

Right now we don’t really know much but who says the club is getting rid of him. We seem to forget that Karl had attitude issues at the Broncos

I'd honestly hold off on counting him as gone until there's confirmation that he is.

That article is basically sitting on the fence in saying the Dolphins might be his landing spot if he leaves. Also says there's a lot that needs to happen first, so take it with a grain of salt.

I'll go against the grain and say he wants to join Papalii at Parra...

It must be cause of the injury why we are getting rid of him

Not true, that was the piss off price to Qld clubs.

Even if we did pay a Transfer Fee they are not included in the Cap.

Think about it, if our useable Cap was reduced by the Transfer Fee then the Broncos useable Cap would have to be increased by the same amount. That's why Transfer Fees are excluded.

Team First
That's not how it used to work when it was included in the salary cap. Years ago, Parramatta wanted an Englishman to come over & play for them. As usual, the English club wanted a transfer fee. The NRL told Parramatta that it had to be included in their cap, so the deal never went ahead. A couple of years later, Souths signed Sam Burgess - same deal, only this time the NRL declared that transfer fees were no longer included in the salary cap. That's when t changed. When the transfer fee is between NRL clubs, it has never been the case that the receiver of the fee had their cap increased.

I would rather see Curran in the lock role than a bash and barge prop.
He showed some good skills at the Warriors that suits him to the position.
Good on his feet and runs the brave lines

I agree Curran would be good however from what I have seen of Todd he wouldn't be out of place.Assuming he cuts the mustard in 1st grade of course which I think he will.
Others will have seen him play more than me though..
