If the team is not talented enough the attacking system won’t work. Defence is totally different, defence is about attitude! You can get a bunch of donkeys to defend well if they buy in.
It's not totally different, it's the same thing. Attitude is relevant across all aspects of sport and isn't any more or less important in any one area. Modern sport is all about systems and learning to work effectively as a unit and that's what defence in the NRL is right now. So yes, maybe more hard work than talent is required but if you don't have the right level of understanding and ability then you're going to struggle.

My whole point is it was much harder to implement an attacking system which Baz tried to do with our players without having the key players to do so e.g Cleary, Yeo compared to Flanagan and Jackson for example. Defence is totally different, while there is an element of skill required for everything, defence is reliant more on attitude.
