If we miss the 8 - should Hasler be sacked?

Factors for not being as good as last year:
Injuries,suspensions and the barba incident.
Rule changes that probably affected our team the most.
We no longer have the element of surprise like we did last year, teams are ready for us and they are ready for barba.

This is a ballsy thread mate alot of nuffies on here will hammer u for not just saying all nice things no matter what .thing is des is a gun coach and i dont think he should be punted BUT greenberg has spent so much money on players ,coaching staff ,mind coaches,equipment and yes i agree with you we have gone backwards this year and look pretty ordinary this year .des is loyal to his players which is great but it gives a player the wrong impression to keep their spot if they keep playing shit week after week.some of australias greatest sportspeople have come back better after being dropped .des definately needs to be accountable ,hopefully things change soon

Alot of excuses to be honest penrith were winning games a few weeks ago with 7 players injured

I am supporting the team - by both providing motivation to our team, and also by giving us another option, one of dismissing the pro Manly coaching staff when they fail, and re instating one of our loyal and trusted dogs Mr Dymock.

I love Dymock more than anyone so can't argue there but ffs Hasler took us to the GF first year and basically you're talking shit

Sensational post - at least we have another true doggies fan on this forum other than myself. We should not be prepared to put up with mediocrity from our coaching staff. Hasler and his Manly rejects should be held accountable, like all other heads of business and sporting endeavour. When all is said and done we are 2012 grand final losers - are we happy with that?, coupled with an early September mad Monday!

Hi guys - with us having the bye this week, I have been contemplating the good and the bad of our season in 2013. I know what I am demanding may cause angst, but lets have a thorough analysis into this - if we miss the 8, then Hasler should be, in my opinion,sacked. Why?

1 With our roster, missing the 8 is an absolute disgrace.

2 Who has he brought to our club? That slab of crap Tony Williams and zero else - he implied Foran,DCE,Lyon,both Stewarts and Matai would follow him to us.

3 Our new young guns like Jackson and Finucane are going backwards in their development this year - Jackson has gone from SOO possibility to the bench!

4 We cant seem to compete with the top 8 teams this year - who cares if we beat Parra every week and get obliterated by the big guns?

5 We have no new attacking structures - once we got found out, and our sweeping obstruction plays which resulted in many a great but illegal try were banned, this year we having zero - fat duck egg.

6 Our for and against is atrocious - it is negative, and we are in the 8? Feel proud or
embarassed Mr Hasler?

7 Who is going to control his massive ego now that Greenburg has gone? When we dont make the 8, he will go insane and blame everyone but himself like Frankenstein's monster!

8 Finally, lets not forget that he had a magnificent roster at Manly when he won those two comps, and had Melb not cheated in 2007 maybe they would have won 3.

Is he the coach the media make out? I dont think so - time to go Mr Hasler!!!

How many games do the cowboys win without thurston? The storm also have the lowest winning percentage of any team when state of origin is on.
comparing us to penrith isn't a great observation. Also we aren't doing to well in the lower grades either compared to last year

At the end of the day this is a football club and is nothing without the true fans.If the results are not forthcoming then questions certainly need to be asked.Why shouldn't the blowtorch be applied to the coaching staff.We were behind the eight ball this time last year and now it has happened all over again.You cannot build a succesful campaign if you are giving everyone else a headstart.The fact that other teams have worked us out is the reason why we should be worried.We will not have such a cushy ride through to the finals again this year - We are playing other teams over the next few weeks that are as desperate as we will be to make the 8.

Des Hasler is the best and most innovative coach in the game. We should keep him for as long as we can - we will win at least one premiership with him at the helm. The thread is based on the bulldogs missing the 8 - which will not happen anyway.

Maybe, if the Bulldogs re-sign Des hasler as the bulldogs coach than we'll at least win 2 to 3 Premierships!
