I am extremely disappointed... not with the team though but with the p!ss poor calibre of so called supporters in the Kennel. Most of you have bagged out the players and virtually accuse them of not having a go, yet you have "given up" after one game. Yeah it was a poor one but it's not the end of the season. Give the poor blokes time to get used to each other. It's like you expected to come out here today and slaughter the sheagles. They didn't give up it's just that a lot of things went against us and we need to learn how to recover from these setbacks.

It's not like we are Melbourne or Panthers or something and this loss is out of character.

This is the typical shit sandwich our team has been mostly dishing up for 7 years (with an odd exception here and there) not just 1 game.

After year, upon year of this shit combined with another off season of promises and hope that turned out to be false hope, most of us have had an absolute gutful (except those who somehow choose to live in the world of Pollyanna).

I personally find the false hope to be worse than anything.

Unless Rorters completely towel up the Dolphins by 26 plus, we are going to be sitting dead last after round 1.

This is what a 6 months off season, a revamped roster and genius new coach have delivered to us long-suffering fans.

16 errors 9 penalties 3 ruck infringement 30 missed tackles. We only completed 23 sets from 38 wtf were we doing all off season.

Considering our lack of forwards. We were competing until the flanno sin bin.

Aprt from the rediculous sin bin that ref called no try on the Mahoney try, try on the John's no try & try on another no try by Manly. Then look at the ruck and manly knees in & hold downs with no action & the Cola effort where he was 5 metres offside to dislodge a ball while we were on the attack with not even a blink by the ref. You cant win games when the ref has already decided a winner before they run on. That is how bad the refereeing and the bunker are currently

Anyone still blaming refs for how the dogs have been playing for years, is beyond delusional. Needs a head check.

Burton and Kikau played awful, Tanner too small, Pele can’t get play longer than 10 minutes. Why wasn’t Davey on the bench before Tanner and they still persist with Waddell. We won’t go anywhere with Flanagan at half-back, maybe swap Averillo and Perham. Bring in Skeleton somewhere.

Theres a lot of reasons why we are playing this way. One very real reason is the club has developed a "losing" mentality.
They never expect to win a game and they play accordingly. Until they get this out of their minds, we will experience more of the same.

Look at the Raiders, who were appalling in the pre season comp - even we beat them. But as soon as the season starts, they are competitive.
The Dogs showed promise, then delivered the same old, same old.

The coach and Gus needs to find footy smart players either in lower grades or through recruitment.

Players that can understand the changing nature or vsriables of a game, adapt to it, and have the rest of the team follow them.

You lose a man a to sin bin or injury, the smart players re-assign positions on the field or change to slide defence pattern. Weather changes in a split second, you adjust your gameplan to suit.

I can go on and on.

It's game play mentality, and we have none.

They need intensive 18 hour per day sports psychologist.and positive mindfulness hypnotherapy sessions...or something.

Not to mention after the earlier sin bin, Fox later trying to save a try with DCE taking a slight deviation in his running line to shoulder charge Fox over and out of the way, also off the ball, and that smug piece of shit DCE gets rewarded with another try.

Yes we were shit yesterday but we are still getting significantly fucked over game after game by plenty of refs. The reality is you can only consistently compete with / beat other teams plus a dodgy ref when you're already a good team and you're playing well. Otherwise the refs are too big an obstacle with too much influence when you happen to be still in the game. That's the reality.
