Has Folkes been fairly treated??

if you guys all recall.... the dogs were starting to get some momentum leading up to the finals until we ran into the Storm.

That dented the players confidence and the realisation that 2007 wasnt going to be our year.

Had F*ck all to do with Folkes coaching.

We were outplayed by a better team and they proved the goods by belting the 2nd best team in the GF.

Hmmm. People go on about how they want Folkes to change our game plan all year but kick up a huge stink when Sherwin gets left in premier league for the first few rounds. All the players supposedly hate Folkes yet O'Meley was going to stay at the club until Folkes said he had to look after his family even if that meant moving to the Roosters (the disrespect there is amazing). People go on about our playing style being out-dated all the time yet i recall quite a few players and commentators who start talking about how the Dogs are the club to worry about when finals are approaching.

To cut a long story short there are always going to be bad years at every club and if Folkes doesn't get the side into a very strong position to recover from this years disappointing season then he is liable to lose his job. I think with his record so far he deserves one last year to prove himself. I think the media has treated him unfairly but the club has shown him plenty of respect.

full credit to Folkes to admit that what he was doing wasnt working. This will make us a better team next year. To improve you need to make changes and they have done that.
we will have a faster more mobile team next year,cant wait. i still think we will be competitve, maybe not win the comp but we will be up there.

Well saying what the Flaws are is a start but implementing a New System or Structure of Attack & Defence (General Play) which can be played out for the FULL 80 MINUTES will be tough especially after the Overhaul the Canterbury Side has received in the Off season.
