Guys, please go easy on me but if we end up keeping Steven masters and getting the best out of him he can be a very solid 1st grade player.... Could end up another Jacob loko but this guy has ability...
I agree. Could be better than Burns already. Has more pace and a good flick pass.

Confirmed troll. People praising him for clarity should really take everything he says as probable bullshit.
It was confirmed ages ago he was a talk shit ****. He will say whatever he needs to say publicly and then roll out "a week is a longtime in rugby league" or "at the time" rubbish lol.

Exactly.

What would have happened if he publicly confirmed we were trying to get rid of him and then we ended up keeping him because there were no takers?

Clubs never going to confirm their wheeling and dealings.

Yh I personally don't care, not going to crucify him for it because some of the information he provides is nice. No doubt he will be getting hammered on twitter now and he will probably deactivate again lol.

Gus was never going to be completely honest on Twitter and uses it as a tool to his advantage at times. Anyone treating what he tweets as gospel or expecting that he'll never go back on his word is naive.

Every one in the NRL does it, they never say "yes" to the rumour's.

Surprised people aren't calling Gus to be sacked and to reinstate the Andersons.

I think things changed after Kikau signing .
This too

At the time Gus posted that it was true. A lot changes in 3 months. There are things Gus can't say regardless so either he has not reply, lie or dodge around the questions.

Phil would have been reporting whatever is in the clubs and players best interests, no one can get up him for not revealing sensitive information at any given time and we should remember things change and are not always set in stone.

Atleast he's taking the time to converse with fans - it's pretty rare in clubland these days.

To me it looks like the club was shopping him but Cotric said the only club he will go to is the raiders. At the end of the day he held all of the bargaining power
