It’s funny the bloke throws an interception pass, then gets in Clearys face. I don’t get that part of his game, always on the attack for no reason. Never seen blokes like Locky carry on like that
It’s because the guvament

Cleary said something as he was running alongside him looks like...probably a square up from earlier but Walker has a massive chip on his shoulder.

Actually I don't think he was as aggressive or niggly as usual...probably should have done a few more lines and several more bundy's on Satdee night as prep for GF. Some think that's a good idea :grinning:

He wants to be the hero all the time, he's not a team player.
Not sure his whole year should be characterised like that bc he went well except the GF, but he def seemed to feel the pressure in the GF.

Maybe he had one too many lines, or drinks, the night before and it went to his head?

Just a side, since I'm bored and its a public holiday and missus won't let me watch porn, thought I'd check up the rules around that charge down. Buggered if I could find anything that says a charge down (which counts as a 'touch') doesn't count as a touch if it goes out. Of course, there are so many fckng rules these days - could have missed it. Sort of ok with a ref fckng up occasionally but there's another 3 refs in the dutch oven bunker so surely one of them must have a moment off the drugs reason.
I think a charge down makes the ball "live", and it belongs to no-one until they pick it up. It's not a knock on if the opposition picks up their charge down. Whoever picks it up has another six tackles.

If nobody picks it up; ie: it goes dead; I guess it's treated the same as a kick that deflects off an opponent, but is not "played at" - which would be a hand over or scrum.

I remember the game in 1967 when South's Bob McCarthy took an intercept, when we looked likely to score and seal the GF. The Bunnies won that game, and everyone but the Dogs fans thought it was a fantastic win.

This time it was the same scenario, only it went against Souths. Now the Bunnies fans know how that felt.

We had to wait another 13 years to get the trophy.

I don't feel sorry for them.

That was the first GF I watched featuring the Berries and I was inconsolable after that intercept. Game would have been ours if not for that.......

I think the most important thing in that game was Col Pearce not awarding a penalty try to Les Johns when he kicked ahead and had a clear run to the try line. The penalty goal and the resulting 2 points wasn't appropriate punishment.

Ahhh, Les Johns my favourite of the time. There was also the Longbottom goal which was disallowed ( one flag up one down) but a couple of our boys indicated later that it was a fair one.Score was level at that time.....

Merv Hicks got him later, in a pre season game at the then new Belmore Sports Ground. Charged over for a try, and took Pearce with him. Pearce was taken off with fractured ribs.

NRL CONSPIRACIES Thinking faceEyesRugby football

I understand a Penrith supporter, who is a Nathan Cleary fan, has blown 0:06 at a random breath test this afternoon. The NRL Integrity Unit will be interviewing Cleary to see if he had any knowledge of this?
