you're the one that has to be kidding me. the problem was because people were spending money that they didn't have. the government had money to spend and any negatives can be filled later on. there's a huge difference between people and the government.

and the money WAS spent on infrastructure. a lot of the stimulus package was given to schools and hospitals and stuff to be able to upgrade. but you obviously missed all that and just jumped on the liberal bandwagon thinking that giving money to people who need it to get through tough economic times is wrong and we should be giving them tax cuts so rich people who try all their hardest to avoid taxes by having offshore bank accounts can earn more and poorer people who honestly pay taxes get an extra 20 cents per day for the next 2 years.

if the government DOESN'T spend money, what will happen is the complete opposite of the desired outcome economically. the economy will stop and jobless rated would dramatically increase. then you'd all be calling for rudd's head for not doing enough to preserve the economy... lol, nothing you can do but laugh at liberals.

Your argument has so much BS i dont know where to start, and you know what .. im not going to bother. Where in gods name do you get your information from?

I am however very interested in this money that you say was spent on infrastructure such as schools and hospitals. What schools, what hospitals?? what was done?? As it is hospitals are having trouble even paying their bills and owe suppliers money left right and centre.

I listen to 2GB 10 hours a day so i would like to think I have a fairly good idea of what is going on day to day.

And for your info since you like to believe you know it all, I have been a labour voter my whole life, but that will change next election. Thats because I keep an open mind on things, not just blindly bash anything pro liberal.

You have thrown around alot of sterotypical generalisations such as rich people having offshore accounts to avoid paying tax (been watching too many movies i think), and nothing you can do but laugh at liberals. You sound like a typical illinformed child.

Damn

and with that, you just lost any credibility
Explain?

There is a difference between listening to it to hear the news topics and actually swallowing anything the hosts or public say on it. I make up my own mind thanks.

Doesnt explain the 10 hours a day

Exaggeration maybe, but that tells me you spend alot of time listening to it. Why not go out and read more sources.

Also, if you believe you are that well informed, then surely you wouldve heard the package included spending on infrastructure

ah yes because it's supposed to start straight away, a week or so after they've gotten the money? educate yourself and look at the last 2 stimulus packages before you talk crap.

why am i even bothering then?

you have no idea how many bank accounts rich australians have offshore in places like vanuatu. maybe if they didn't keep trying to hide money from the government and if all of the australian companies stopped using tax havens to hide their income then we'd get the money back from the stimulus packages twice as quickly.

In all fairness that number seems to be a bit unusual and not accurate. All the cash payments to individuals has next to no impact on creating jobs.

Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, their red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no.

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! yoh,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one.

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no.

Their share? Everyone should pay the same.
so they should pay the same taxes as everyone else by committing illegal acts? the law is the law, high earners pay more tax than low earners, if people don't like it they can move to dubai or something
