This is not good...the guy wants to stay at broncos and feels like he is getting pushed out, and then we pounce?? On a bloke that will get homesick in a years time? Or when hodges retires? Next please
Totally agree. We should have a fullback who wants to be our fullback for the right reasons not to just make ends meet and wait for the next best offer.

Tbh I have not seen to much of fergo...but I thought he was solid in his last few games with the raiders.....he reminds a little of inglis....maybe a little more speed and with the boxing stuff his doing know...it can only make him stronger....in terms of his attitude...he is young and naive. ..you only need to look at dugan and Carney. ...
Dakar, You are close but Fergo is Justin Hodges both in character and playing style/ability. 10 years ago or so Hodges was Young arrogant hot head who had a terrible

attitude/character and was a poor excuse for a human being. But the one thing they both have is undeniable god given talent. People forget that Fergo's only 22-23

years old. Justin Hodges was a Grade A **** look at him now Australian/QLD representative centre, arguably one of the best centres in the world. Sometimes people have to

hit rock bottom to realize what they risk losing by being Dickheads.

SO just to compare Blake Ferguson to Josh Morris statistically from this season just past from (NRL.com)

Josh Morris Player Stats P T G FG AR ARM LB HU OL Tk MT E
Average (Current Season) 22 5 0 0 238 2381 10 238 14 200 19 20

Blake Ferguson Player Stats P T G FG AR ARM LB HU OL Tk MT E
Average (Current Season) 11 10 10 0 109 1129 10 109 10 126 26 15

Legend

AR All Runs HU Hit-ups OL Off-Loads AMR All Run Metres LB Line Breaks P Played D Draws L Losses T Tries E Errors MIN Minutes Played Tk Tackles FG Field Goals MT Missed Tackles W Wins G Goals

So Fergy played 11 games compared to JMOZ's 22, Ferguson scored double the amount of tries & broke the line just as many times as Jmoz.

Also note that Fergo was 22 comapred to Jmoz being 27 years old How some on here claim he is overrated is beyond me.

Months ago, I made a thread with a poll called "Fergo: Yes or No?" and some d!ckhead laughed at me, creating a "hurr durr Sandor Earl: Yes or No" thread.

Now, I'm hoping we get Fergo badly. The d!ckhead might be too. His stats don't lie. He's a great player.

Lol if hoff stays, he will perpetually be on the wing . And I Iove it how barba has weighed in. Why don't you go back to hitting your wife or something? Telling the truth isn't your strong point mate.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/9249096/Locke-racing-against-the-clock-to-find-new-club

Kevin Locke has been given a two-week ultimatum to find a club for next year, otherwise the Warriors won't release him.
Ivan Cleary's Panthers are leading the charge to sign the gifted fullback, but the Bulldogs are also interested, despite chief executive Raelene Castle saying otherwise.
Locke wants to leave the Warriors because Sam Tomkins will take his No 1 jersey next season and although there has been talk of the Kiwi moving to a different position, he won't get the game time he's had in the past few years.
Although the Warriors don't want to make a rival club stronger by gifting them a quality player like Locke, they are sympathetic to his situation.
Unlike with Russell Packer, it's not a case where they've encouraged him to leave.
But they do need to firm up their squad for next season, which is why they've given Locke a deadline until the middle of this month to sort out a contract with another team.
Otherwise he'll see out the last year of his contract with the Warriors.
Cleary is obviously a big fan of Locke from his time as head coach of the Warriors.
This was a rebuilding year for the Panthers, but next year they'll be strong contenders for a place in the top eight and having Locke at fullback would enhance their chances of achieving that, rather than playing Matt Moylan or Wes Naiqama.
The Bulldogs are the second most likely option for Locke, but the Sydney club would prefer to get Josh Hoffman.
Ben Barba is moving to the Broncos next season, leaving the Bulldogs on compassionate grounds. If the Des Hassler-coached Bulldogs are unable to get Hoffman from the Broncos, they will turn their attentions to Locke.
While Locke would still have plenty to offer the Warriors next year, they do have a great backup at fullback in Glen Fisiiahi, while David Fusitua from the Junior Warriors team certainly looks to be one for the future.

such a stark difference between Broncos and the Warriors... Atleast the warriors are kind enough, to let the kid find another club instead of ****ing him over.

fck the broncos.

Wonder how many of you would be wanting fergo if it was your daughter or sister that he was meant to have sexually assaulted, he's an immature prick who doesn't deserve to play any sort of professional sport

Its a gamble with Fergie, but I think the club is taking this no d.head policy too seriously...and if they are, then they certainly let Barba walk all over them.

I would rather win a premiership TBH, we shouldn't be establishing ourselves as the good Samaritan club....its not going to work, people will still dislike us regardless. Whether that's because of our previous history, the success the club has had, and because our fans are the only ones considered to apparently cause chaos at games...which is something that's left up to individual interpretation. I agree that the image has changed dramatically since 2002-2004, although we are playing a contact sport here...not writing a Cinderella story. Let's be honest here.

Also like I said, if they are going to establish this no d.head policy, do it in a way at least that doesn't allow individuals like Barba and Mason to run the show still. Either way something has been done wrong.

The Brisbane Broncos have ended any hopes of rival NRL clubs trying to poach talented outside back Josh Hoffman

The rumour mill has been spinning this week, suggesting Hoffman could end up at another club.

However as he is contracted to the Broncos for another two years, his management is legally not able to engage in negotiations with other teams without the Broncos permission.

And that permission will not be forthcoming.

The Broncos moved today to assure fans that the try-scoring whiz will be a Bronco at least for the next two seasons.

Yes, agree. However in the court of law he is innocent until proven guilty, regardless of the accusations he has the right to defend himself and prove that wasn't the case. There are always 3 sides to a story, his side, her side and the truth.

Brisbane are giving the club warning signs...they know we are desperate and he is gonnneee if the compo offer is met.
it really depends how much he is asking. if he is asking too much, id be inclined to let him stay...

and then turn the screws on Locke, who'll be desperate to find another club anyway.

I think the best thing is to take a few years and develop our own juniors. It means a bit of pain initially, but will bring long-term gains, and foster better cohesion within the team.

True, until they walk out on us all that time developing wasted!
