@Hacky McAxe have you got/listened to the new Trivium album yet ?? (yes it came out last month and I didn't even realise).

It's getting pretty rave reviews..

From the 2 tracks I've heard the new drummer seems like an absolute beast. But we all know he'll be gone in 12 months.

....

Not sure if this has been posted... New band of former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon..

Not bad imho... something a bit different... prog metal / heavy rock / symph metal.

@Zee s new band is pretty epic...

and even they sound better than the new Machine Head track. 3 years and that's the only shit they can come up with... May as well name the new album "Disappointment City" so people are well warned.

BEEEEYYOOND THE FAAAAILLLL BEYYONND THE FAAAIILL

Meanwhile .. was this ever posted?

Not sure the soft vocals really fit ..
I like Urn but it isn't the most interesting album. It just feels like nothing new after Citidel

Yeah. It's a decent album. There is some boring tracks in the middle but overall it's a really decent album. Like most Trivium albums, it gets better every time you listen to it.

Okay this is a real interesting one I've come across..

There's some influences in it I REALLY like (for example the mandolin and the vocals). To me it blends together really nicely to create something quite unique (and heavy).

Add a few more interesting ones in here...

Power/Folk metalists Elvenking from Italy...

and Bad Wolves featuring a bloke who filled in for lead singer of FFDP whilst he was in rehab... Not sure everyone will like this one... clean vocals but its definitely heavy..
I believe vocalist is ex Divine Heresey/Westfield Massacre.

Getting a bit of a Killswitch / In Flames vibe from last track.

I had a decent listen to them a few months back. They're interesting.

New albums...

Some interesting Swedish extreme metal, prog, death metal mix

Some semi-interesting symphonic death metal

Generic troll metal

And some pretty decent stoner sludge

Not bad... and I'm not normally big on female metal vocalists.

New Of Mice and Men (with Aaron Pauley on vocals).

I love female metal vocalists. When I die I want to be sent to a place with 72 female metal vocalists. That would be my heaven.

Tommy Vext. He's cursed. Doc Coyle should bail before Vext burns that bridge too. Band is very run of the mill to me.

Try this

Cane Hill. Alice In Chains/Nu Metal? vibe. Then listen to their other new track

Picked up my Arch Enemy tickets. Tempted to go to Amon Amarth and Sabaton but it's nearl $100 for tickets so will probably give it a miss.

Machine Head just dropped their new single. Can't believe a band that gave us Burn my eyes could give us shit like this?!?!?!

I get that bands evolve BUT come on. What's with this singy sooky crying vocals? Maybe I'm old lol. Is this what they call nu metal? Sing a long bits? Uurrrgghhh.
