Forward Signings! Two recruits away from top 4?

Not a forward but Daily Tele reporting that Enari Tuala from the Knights is set to join the Bulldogs.

Did they even "look" at a "possible" try to us? Who was the ref!

Are we looking at Brodie Jones? Off contract. 26 yr old plenty of upside. Big body, good look speed , would come cheap. Ciraldo could polish a diamond with this guy. Admittedly I didn’t watch too many knights games this year but Brodie caught my eye each time making an impact from the bench.

Leo Thompson has rejected Knight’s offer and wants to test the market. Nov 1 is the time Mr Gould, make it happen.

Yeah,
I am really hoping we can land Leo Thompson.

He still needs to work on his game in a few areas.
But I think he could be up there with players like Fisher Harris.

I actually really rate Thompson.
But I want to point out, he does have some flaws in his game that he will need to work on.
But I do see enough in him to think it's possible for him to become an elite front rower.
And the big alpha dog we desperately need leading our pack.

Get it done Gus,

I have barely watched him to know if a big signing or not. Age is good seems pretty durable judging by games played etc.

You talking about Thompson?

I have watched him a little bit,
I live in Newcastle so I guess I'm exposed to the knight a lot more than I'd like to be.
So yeah by default I guess I know a bit more about Thompson

And like I said in a previous post.
I do rate him.

I do think he could be an elite front rower.
Time will tell.

Yeah mate Thompson. What would u think he will command on open market?? We def need some stocks up front, be a few wanting him id assume. Knights freeing up cash also so must be a big chance to retain him. Read hes brother is going there also

It's been noted the knights are in a pickle with their cap.
Sounds like they have some back ended deals or some shit.
The really want to keep Thompson.
From what I have heard the knights have been under paying Thompson posdible market value for a while due to salary cap issues,
Thompson is pissed about that hence why he wants to test the market.

For that reason, I think he will go to the highest bidder and I think there will be clubs preparing to offer him big contract come November 1

I think he could command 500k possibly.
But who could really know?

I think we would be his best fit,
But I'm not sure Gus would pay overs for him.

Interesting to see how it pans out.

Someone will pay him 600-650k easily. And I’d argue he would be worth it for us. We have some quality young forwards coming through over the next 2-3 years, and so really investing in a quality starting prop will go a long way into shaping up our pack.

Pack next year
8 Hughes
9 Mahoney
10 King
11 Kikau
12 Preston
13 Mann
14 Tupouniua
15 Haywood
16 Amone

Thompson be a great addition the following year, considering Mann probs only got a couple years left in him.

My bet is that Thompson will most likely go to the warriors, so don't get your hopes up. He is from NZ and the warriors just lost AFB and SJ so have some cash to burn. Barnett has been plugging the front row gap but is really a second rower.
