Flanagan is our immediate problem.

Ridiculous, what message does this send to the playing group and aspiring players at mounties killing it...
We cannot accept complacency and poor form...he has had 8 weeks and cannot seem to even get the basics right.
Needs a stint at mounties and show us what he can do

He needs to show us what he can do in first grade, that was the entire reason behind bringing him to Belmore wasn’t it.
I have a feeling TB isn’t going to drop him regardless
No doubt Mick Potter is passing on what is happening at Mounties and the few which excel will be rewarded at some point.

He already has , zero, donut , zilch, Nada, even when we've had an aggressive pack against cronulla with both napa and Thompson with insane metres gained ( by our standards).
The guy is a dud fullstop.

What’s annoying is when we are starved of the ball for ten mins and we get it back and he kicks early on 3 or 4 and doesn’t tell the outside backs

Or when he gets charged down turning momentum

Or when he misses easy kick at goal

Does he also take our kick offs gifting the opposition 20 m?

That shit is annoying as fk

I was there and disagree. He seemed lethargic from start to finish. Took wrong options on last and as said couple passes hit the ground. His kicks in general where good. One lead to a parra try. He is not the answer. And in all honesty with our pack going the way it is and Katoa playing like he is. We could have Andrew John’s as the half and still get lapped. Ava and deitz are good additions but we need more before we attack the half
Doesnt that work for Lewis who played half in a shit pack for years im not saying he will do any better but excuses are excuses

His kicking game is genuinely shit. The early tackle count kicks especially kill me not just because of the reasons you mentioned but because the kick is straight up shit and straight to the opposition and totally negates the reason for kicking early.

So far Jake's kicking game has been far superior. Obviously he isn't the dominant kicker and may have more time and space, but he just seems to kick the ball far better than Flanagan. The motion of kicking is quicker, he has more power, more accurate, etc. Jake just putting up a clearing bomb is better than anything Flanagan can do.

It all starts with a decent pack. With more time he'll be fine... you guys are being pretty unfair. He's young... look at Mitchell Moses FFS he is a dud... but Para have a beast of a pack and provide plenty of go forward up the middle and time for him ,s o he looks half decent at the moment. In a good team Allen was good enough to play origin. I know it's been ages since we have been any good so the notion of be patient has worn thin. I truly believe Baz is the right man to take us into a dominant position again. Keep the faith. I still love the dogs no matter what.
moses isn’t a dud lol
Up himself yeah but dud?

Dud is probably a bit harsh but he looks way better with a decent pack in front of him than he has in previous years. when he's rushed his options are questionable and makes a lot of errors and puts in some ordinary kicks compared to other tip halves in the league.

When Flanagan was signed Barrett said he would build a team around him. We have no hope if that is the case. Select Averillo at half-back with Lewis at five-eighth. We can’t go on selecting the same team week in week out.

The forwards need urgent attention. Only then the halves can be evaluated.
Respectfully - forwards have nothing to do with last tackle options.

And on that alone, Flanagan is consistently displaying the worst possible decisions when it comes to our last play.

And even when he makes the right decision, the execution isn't there. I haven't seen a half worse at putting a simple grubber through since Grant Rovelli. Flanagan can't even get it in behind the defence and constantly kicks it into the defenders feet.

Plus his attacking bombs and chip kicks are horribly ineffective and they often go sideways, backwards or are way too deep.

Yes, probably should of touched on that.

It's not just his decisions, but his execution.

Poor as poor can be.

There was always going to be a "winning" Trent and a "losing" Trent when it came to Flanno. So far, its the 3x premiership winning coach who is coming up trumps in this respect. Not for just showing him the door after 1 year, but for having the gal to approach it how he did, and then blood an 18 year old in his place who is carving it up at the moment.
