I’m not sure if this has been posted before??

Looking to purchase fishing gear, mainly rods, lures and reels, not sure of the best quality, so I’m turning to my bulldogs brothers and sisters to help me out!

Thank you! :grinning::grinning::grinning:

Black Friday sales this weekend and BCF and Amazon would be a good start.

But if you're new to fishing I suggest trying KMart, decent rods/reels/tackle for beginners for great prices.

Avoid the little leb bait shops with their overpriced bullshit lol

Can't go wrong with Shimano reels. If you are just getting started maybe look for some cheaper alternatives. After a day out hose the rods down with water to prevent the salt from gumming up the parts.

What sort of fishing are you looking to do? Boat, rock, beach etc?

For lures check out a brand called "Squidgy". I like the soft plastic types. If Aldi has a sale on fishing gear then pounce. I've had success with Aldi lures up at Hawkesbury River caught Flathead with them. Aldi ones were a soft plastic, with sparkling glitter.

BCF website is the best to use, plenty of filters so you can narrow your search down.

Chuck a fire cracker in the water.
Dinner is served.
You're welcome.
Hahahaha... I’m happy to wait for a few hours... thanks for the tip!

The last rod I bought, I had custom made. Chose my wrap, the number of runners, the type of reel mount, and the distance from the butt to the reel.
Very happy. Should’ve done it sooner.

How much did that set you back? Where did you get it custom made? Thanks!

U want spin gear ? If ur chasing decent Jewish and kingies, u want at least a 4000 size reel! Running braid mono or Fluor? Lures or bait

Running braid, I’ve been using bait but thinking of changing to lures, what’s ur opinion on that coach?
