Coach Craig Bellamy and NSW selectors are poised to drop an Origin bombshell by naming both Michael Ennis and Robbie Farah in the 17-man Blues squad to play Queensland.

If both hookers have strong games in City-Country tomorrow night in Orange, there is every chance both will be chosen – Ennis as the starting hooker and Farah off the bench.
I’ve spoken to both Bellamy and two selectors this morning to get the inside mail on the team selections.

Basically, there are only three certain selections – Kurt Gidley at fullback, Paul Gallen at lock and Brent Kite in the front-row.

City-Country, tomorrow night’s Test match in Brisbane and form in the next three weeks of club football will determine the other positions.

Join me at 1pm for a more detailed look at the Origin team.

Gidley fullback and captain
Farrah off the bench, Ennis starting. Unstoppable. I'm telling ya from now.

Gotta say, I've been saying pick them both all along. Well since Brett Stewart was ruled out anyway. Farah fills the utility roll as well as being hooker now that Gidley has cemented the fullback position.

Could work, I'd play Ennis the full 80 to be honest

But if Farah is on the bench, I'd give him a 20 minutes of game time

Good decision.

Whoever they put at halfback will be el crappo. Everyone in "contention" is mediocre and not up to par for SOO.

I would rather Farah at halfback and Ennis at Hooker.

Will be perfect. Ennis offers the mongrel to start the game than Farah comes off the bench and carves QLD up. We will **** on the Maroons

STFU Hani! I hope QLD get trampled.

Good decision - it means Ennis has less chance of getting injured :grinning:

Stupid decision.

How about playing guys in position? With Lewis on the bench as a utility (and a much better one) and Ennis / Farah both being 80min players what would be the point?

This is one of the reasons QLD have been steam rolling us. Thanks retard selectors for letting us down again.

Everyone else praising them is looking through bulldogs tinted glasses.

Agree with hansta.

lol tell that to ennis and he will give u an uppercut. He wont care about the risk of injury. He wants to represent his state for the full 80, not just 50-60 mins.

Having 2 hookers in a game like this i reckon is a waste. Both players can easily play the full 80. Why waste a substitution on 2 fit, young hookers when you can have a utility instead.

lol cant deceide which hooker to pick? just pick them both..

total waste of a bench spot, both are able to play 80min as already said. Having an extra forward would be much more valueable
