BIG season coming up for him ..... injury plagued last year slowed his progress somewhat.

Definitely has the attributes to excel as a smaller middle forward.

In my opinion he is still one of our top prospects ...

KO
Woods
Todd
Marshall
Alatini
Sloan ???

Would be interesting to see other posters top rated juniors ??
The top rated juniors for mine are KO, Woods, Todd, Marshall, Underhill, Sua and Mazzone.

Does the club get penalised for not spending the min amount of cap required in a season ? does anybody know what the penalty is if there is one ? Or is it just that you operate with a reduced cap to your competitors for the year and that money is then lost for the following year ..

Seems to be that we are approx 1-1.5mil under if im seeing things right especially after Foxx money back in cap
The NRL seem to make up penalties depending on which team it is & how much. There is a floor limit because if you don't spend all your cap this season, you can roll what you didn't spend the next year. So you can't have a couple of years where you tank & then spend up big in the next year or 2 to try & win a premiership.

It will be very interesting to see how Ciraldo handles his squad next season. Does he show loyalty to the incumbents who did a fantastic job of turning the club around?
Gus has on several occasions talked about the need of forward packs to have several different body types. If Ciraldo stays true to that having Salmon, Tupouniua, Hayward & Morrin won’t make sense.
Sutton is also a big question mark. If he trains the house down does he nab a spot in round 1?
If nothing has changed since NRL Physio wrote this, then I can't see Sutton contemplating a round 1 return.

If I remember correctly it happened in Round 18 on 6th July, against the Warriors, “6 month return to play” would be early January. As usual with knees it all depends on how the rehab goes.

If the Raiders who are already f..king stacked for middles and much less chance of winning a comp than us get him it demonstrates we need to totally rethink whatever we're doing or NOT doing with NRL recruitment

What if Thompson wants a $1m per season, should we rethink our recruitment?
What if he wants $300k in TBA's to be transferred from other players to him, should we rethink our recruitment?
What if Newcastle want $500k transfer fee to release him for 2025, should we rethink our recruitment?
What if he won't come unless we sign his brother for $1m per season, should we rethink our recruitment?
What if he wants us to buy him a house close by training, should we rethink our recruitment?
And give his parents jobs.........

There are any number of reasons why he decides, or we decide, that he isn't joining us, most of which we as fans have no idea about.

Lol the Raiders have an insane amount of forwards. Bloke probably doesn’t even start for them most games. He would be seriously thick to go there plus Raiders are on the downfall with aging roster and players
Losing Rapana is massive for them, dude played his guys out for Ricky, he played dirty AF but went hard. Almost impossible to replace someone like that.

He’d be Papali’i’s replacement and would start from 2026 onwards.
