Next rebuild starts if we f this up, "The Dogs have a $3 million war chest to spend on new players for 2021." That rebuild will start in about ~3 years.
If we only have 3 million left for next year we're completely fuck because we need to sign 17 players still only 175k average per player.

So by Buzz knowledge were singing another Canterbury cup side.

I don't know how to explain it to you but basically it means we'll be able to add ~3m worth of talent to our team as it stands for 2021. That's enough room in the salary cap to buy a Keary, Munster and Brandon Smith.

Andersons returning has been the worst thing to happen to us in years
Agree they are fucking dinosaurs who have no idea how a modern club should conduct business...

andersons are the canterbury version of corona, they slowly killing the club,

lastvyear it was mentioned potential new players wanted to know who would be the long term coach, abd they were not to impressed with the andersons upon meeting them, 12 months on it comes out they got their fingers in every part of the club, there lays the problem, get rid of the andersons

DOGS ARE DOWN

The Canterbury Bulldogs are on the verge of imploding.

The team’s winless start to the year, no major sponsor, no home ground, uncertainty over the future of coach Dean Pay, the standing down of club legend Steve Price and unexplained return of Chris Anderson in an unofficial recruitment role has upset long-time fans.

Anderson was forced to stand stood down from the Bulldogs board last year when The Sunday Telegraph revealed his recruitment business had gone into liquidation, owing millions. He was replaced on the club retention committee by his wife Lynne Anderson, but player agents have revealed he’s still unofficially involved behind the scenes — although the club denies this.

Meanwhile. Pay feels he’s being sidelined from roster planning.

The Dogs have a $3 million war chest to spend on new players for 2021. There is one major problem … potential recruits want to know who will be coaching the team.

This will force the club into making an early call on Pay, possibly even next week.

The other big issue concerns football club general manager Price who was stood down when COVID-19 shutdown the premiership, but has yet to return from Queensland.

The club surprisingly left him out of their 50-person bubble.

Many blame the fact club legend Terry Lamb got caught at training last week shaking hands with players and breaking bio-security protocols on the fact Price wasn’t around to police the rules.

SHOOSH

Which assistant coach at a struggling NRL club has rung both St George-Illawarra and the Canterbury Bulldogs to inquire about their head coaching roles.

SHOOSH

Which NRL club is quietly checking out the position of Gold Coast Titans coach Justin Holbrook, despite the fact he’s under contract until the end of 2021.

NEW DOG KENNEL

There’s now talk of the NRL pushing the state government for a boutique stadium at Liverpool on the site owned by Canterbury. It could be used for Bulldogs and Wests Tigers games. The Dogs’ Belmore HQ is unlikely to get funding and their deal is up at ANZ Stadium.
The News Ltd Telecrap, and The Shitty Morning Herald are taking turns on us...Wonder why ?

Lynne is 100x worse than Rae Rae out of depth.

At least Rae Rae had a CV before joining.

Anderson's didn't win the election, members were pissed off with dib and crew and they got punished for it. So even a dinosaur could have won it.....fast forward 2 years and we are still getting punished for incompetence

Wow so much going on, wonder who the assistant was that inquired about head coaching? Fitzgibbon? Also like the sound of the Liverpool stadium idea. The rest though far out!
I don’t believe the roosters come under the “struggling club” banner

This is only going to get uglier if I’m being brutally honest

Lynn Anderson shouldn’t be anywhere near recruitment and retention
Can’t see how she’s able to spot talent

Chris Anderson is outdated and obsolete

it’s a totally different game
They’ve missed the boat unfortunately

Buzz like everyone at News Ltd loves to write numerous rumours about us every week. Who knows what, if anything is true.

It would be great to get a stadium at Liverpool after Oasis fell through though..

The rest? Well I don't doubt that there would be tension within the club and there should be. But I think that's Rothfield putting two and two together and making up stories more than concrete info on his part.
