I would gladly pay David Fafita $1m over Josh Jackson at $700k
Jackson's on 500k in the cap and Fifita's on 1.3m this year and 1.1m a year for the following 2 years in the cap. I also would of paid 1m for Fifita tho, anything more is stupid tho.

Geez didn't realise he was on 1.3, that is ridiculous.

No one was saying this when he was scoring hat-tricks every second game. Most players for QLD were horrible last night.

I agree he tends to go missing in big games but he's still a massive talent who will only get better.

Fafita is an absolute gun. That was his one poor game for the year.

Cooper Cronk savages David Fifita amid reports the Titans star is set to receive an NRL breach notice
Steve Orme 9 hrs ago

Cooper Cronk has blasted David Fifita amid reports the Gold Coast Titans and Queensland Maroons star is set to receive an NRL breach notice this week.

As first reported by The Courier Mail, Fifita is set to learn his fate over a bizarre incident at a Gold Coast property on the morning of December 27.
Fifita was released without charge after he was arrested for allegedly trespassing at a Clear Island Waters home.
The NRL opted not to sanction Fifita after an initial investigation accepted the incident was a misunderstanding after the former Brisbane Broncos reportedly entered the wrong room after he was invited to the property by an acquaintance.

But the governing body opened a new probe in February amid claims the Titans helped broker a financial payment to the family, which could have salary cap implications if proven.

If Fifita is suspended by the NRL is could cost him a spot in the Maroons’ squad for Origin II on June 27.
Speaking on Fox League on Saturday night, Cronk was scathing in his criticism of the 21-year-old, who he says now owes Queensland and the wider NRL community.

“Well, he came out with some very bold comments leading into Game 1 and he didn’t deliver,” Cronk said on Fox League.

“Stupid actions like he did in the pre-season deserve consequences and if that means him missing a few games well he has to pay the price for that.

“He not only owes his state a very good performance, he obviously owes the rugby league community a better brand of behavior from now on.”

Fifita controversially escaped punishment over a 2019 incident while holidaying in Bali. The then teenager was accused of punching a security guard outside a nightclub. He was arrested and released from jail after agreeing to pay a ‘peace agreement’, reported to be as much as $50,000, to the alleged victim. Fifita later claimed he was the victim of an extortion attempt and has maintained his innocence.

reports at the time indicated that Tino Fa'asuamaleaui signed a 3 year, $2 million deal with the Titans... I wonder how he feels about Fifita earning $500K a year more than him

Didnt Cronk sign two contracts to benefit his career while at the storm. Bit rich of him to get up Fafita about other payments.
The media really are a huge part of the issue with the NRL
