**** you Pakistan. Bangladesh aren't even as pathetic as this team at the moment. Are they even trying? ffs.

2 run out. Salman Butt both at fault.. Easy 3 runs but ran out the captain, and then an easy single but ran out Umar Akmal. Both these 2 are the best batsmen in the team also.

Well done Salman Butt for scoring a hard earned century. However Ponting introduces Katich and he gets him out and the wicket keeper also. Katich is even more dangerous than Hauritz as he can spin it both ways quite well while Hauritz doesnt bowl the doosra unless its in the nets.

Its amazing that Katich avges 29 in tests. Shame he has shoulder problems as he could have developed into a very handy spinner

Hauritz gets the dangerous Shoaib Malik out for 58. That's his first. Looks like Australia will have a decision to make soon. With rain about, id prob enforce the follow on.

I'd like to see Punter put North in to open, could be his last chance to prove himself in Test match cricket before the Ashes.

hussey deserved the chance as he has been in the team now for quite a few years. North sure scored a couple of centuries early on but since then has struggled. If hughes didnt get dropped then i would say ok fair go, however hughes wasnt even given a chance to prove his worth even though he scored 2 centuries in south africa.

North was put in as he offers something in the bowling department, however he isnt needed. Katich is showing he can bowl a bit, even clarke can. Id rather someone else

BTW stumping chance in review for Katich's 4th wicket, BOTD should go with the batsmen, looks to be safe

only because they wanted Watson as an opener. North done very well before the summer series in Aus so he deserves the chance to get out of his form slump as he hadnt done much wrong. They dropped Hughes because they know he will be back in the team

thats his career. Too many outs from 0-20 for my liking. He needs a few scores in domestic cricket before the next series in NZ in march.

time for ponting to take the new ball and finish these tail enders off. Lets put pakistan in again and hopefully get 2-3 wickets by stumps

I already know his in a form slump =S

Made a 100 on debut, 2 centuries and a half century in England in a losing series.

Deserves a chance to get out of his slump :grinning:

i disagree :p not much of a loss without him. I'd rather watson there with a specialist opener playing

2 bad series :p

he only averages 37 with the bat. Brad Hodge played 6 tests for Australia and had an average of 55. His last innings was a double century and he got dropped for 'poor form'. He should have been in the middle order. Not Marcus North in the 1st place
