What of the blood clots? Reduced birthrate? Increased all cause deaths?
Blood clots - Yep, they are very rare but they are still a problem. In Australia there has been 14 deaths from blood clots caused by vaccine. There has been over 64 million doses so that is rare but it's still an issue
Reduced birth rate - this is technically an issue but it's not vaccine related. Birther rates have dropped a bit every year for the last 50 years. Covid didn't speed up or slow down the birth rates
Increased all cause deaths - This is definitely an issue too, but it's one of those correlation causation things. It's possible it's caused by vaccine, but also possible it's cause by long Covid or Covid related injury. And it's also possible it's caused by something else altogether. Guessing won't give you a real answer. Many use excess deaths as a way to measure unreported Covid-19 deaths, but as I said, that's still just guessing
There is a 5th point... if you blindly quote the science and then you are wrong you can just retort back to I was just following expert advice.
So don't blindly quote the science. Look further into it if you want. But you shouldn't assume that you can analyse the data better than the experts. And you also shouldn't blindly quote anti-vaxxer blogs.
Stop pretending this is an open and shut case. Has your opinion on transmission evolved? You're also guilty of misinformation but haven't banned yourself from the covid-19 thread because you think it noble to blindly follow the science.
No one is pretending it's an open and shut case. Science evolves based on best available data. When data rises that shows that previous advice was wrong, then the advice changes. That's not lying by any stretch.
If you're watching an NRL game and Melbourne scores a try, and the try is allowed. Then the video ref looks at it and sees that the player dropped the ball. Do you jump up and say, "THE REF LIED!"?
Science evolves as new data becomes available. If data becomes available showing that Covid was deliberately released from a lab then cool, that will be accepted. If data shows that aliens created Covid to wipe out humanity then cool. That will be accepted.
But a documentary is not new data, especially if they aren't actually presenting data. And it shouldn't be trusted any more than the Walking Dead is evidence zombies are real.
If they have new data they can present it as actual scientific research. Until they do that, it's just guess work and anecdotes and I will treat it with the respect it deserves. None at all.
