What awareness needs to be raised?
No religion should be promoted over another and shoved down peoples throats, whether that be Islam, Christianity, atheism, Hinduism etc etc

On a side note because Ive been reading that's its only a minority of muslims that are "radical' and in favour of the latest terrorism acts . 2 football matches involving Ireland - Bosnia and Turkey - Greece were played yesterday and today. In those matches Bosnian and Turkish fans jeered and booed the 1 minute silence for the those killed in Paris . Maybe the minority are not a minority.

I've seen many soccer matches where 1 minutes silence has not been honoured . And you know what the reason for this happening every time is ? Political or religious differences between the 2 teams / countries.
I don't think it's unfair to say that going by the booing in the recent matches listed above , that there were terrorist sympathisers in the stadium.

No but like you said it's a political / religion differences I'm not saying it's right what they done but some don't like France and would think why a minute silence for them and not a minute silence for the hundred of thousands of innocent Muslims that are dieing .

Can we ask why no sanctions are in place against Turkey who have actively aided terrorist organisations for direct and indirect financial gain?

Yeah you have a great point why does extra effort need to be done for Islam? No other religion in Australia is getting special treatment or getting awreness programs, so to single out just Islam and create awareness programs and all that just for Islam is showing favouritism.

It's just to stop further conflict and hatred. If the government, news, etc, come out explaining that Islam is not inherently violent then people will listen. If they don't say anything then all you have is people hating Islam because of what they've seen and when they see the religious leaders speaking out they say "Well of course they'd say that, they're Muslim"

It helps to have support outside the religious community.
