Effort is there as always but we haven't improved on anything at all nor showing signs of it. Pay doesn't even stick with the team he picks. We're fuked!

Dinkum...
Are you saying what I am thinking ?
Pay can't coach attack !!!
Well mate, it doesn’t take the smartest bloke in the room to see we aren’t threatening in attack. My question has always been more about reasons other than exclusively the coach, as I don’t think he’s solely responsible. Regardless, he will likely be the fall guy at some point if he can’t get them to compete let alone win.

The winner of next weeks cripple fight is really the loser as it will buy more time for Pay or McGregor.
If it can be believed there’s a story today that Mary has 2 weeks if the Steelers don’t start winning. It’ll cost St. Merge almost $1m to sack him - they’d want to be sure they have an improvement lined up to pull that trigger, otherwise it reeks of the Tigers. Too early for Flanagan or Bennett.

Pay can’t coach and his selection issues are appalling. Constantly swapping halves combinations, selecting players out of position. Allowing Tolman to hit up on the 4th! If DWZ and Remis don’t wanna play wing and then sack them both. Time to bring the kids on and let them get experience to see if they can make it in FG! 2020 is over for the Dogs, thanks Pay now fuck off back to Raiders!

Craig Fitzgibbon has been the whisper for a while around the Dragons job if Mary got punted.

LMAO you got owned RatBoy.

You never answered as to why O’Brien is getting more out of a team with pretty much the same roster. It is it because they got 3 wooden spoons?

Here’s a fun fact. The past couple years, Pay has strung a few wins together...... albeit too little too late in the season. Then the Pay Cum Guzzler Party come out and state that he has overachieved with a team that he inherited and that should build momentum for next year.
Third season and we look worse than we did when he first started.

Now, start deflecting like you always do
Firstly, watch your mouth
Secondly, I said twice, look who they have bought......

He's one of the best assistants available. Could be an option for us if the club was ever interested in hiring a new coach.

He is the Roosters defensive coach at the minute so if you partner him with David Furner as an assistant you have a very good combination.

Furner is a experienced coach that specialises in attack.

I outlined in another thread that there are a dozen or more coaches potentially available.. Fitzgibbon, McFadden, Ciraldo, Payton, Lam, Woolf, Wane or even Griffin, Henry short term.

People might ask who else we could replace Pay with and there are no other options... I beg to differ. Surely one of the above could do better.

You're just throwing out names for the fuck of it so it looks like there is a tonne of options

From your list the only two viable options are Henry and Griffin

Yeah there is defiantly options out there. There's no way Pay can be extended and it will just be a pity extension if they do as he hasn't earned one.

Pay just has that loser stench around him now where performances like last night are acceptable. I accept its tough gig he has and he won't have all the answers but he should have a hell of a lot more answers at this point then he does.

Nothing has been built so far in this "re-build" everything is just rubble. Due to Pay's team selections and recruitment over the last few years we are still none the wiser on what long term options we have in the playing ranks.

Our key senior men (Napa, Jackson, Foran, Hopoate, Elliot, Tolman) need to step up and guide us through this. Do we extend Dean Pay?

So you just proved the point that we do have other options other than Pay. Which is what I'm saying.

Dean Pay isn’t the problem, it’s the players he has at his disposal. How would he go coaching the Roosters or Canberra ? The Bulldogs are the only side in the NRL they don’t have a marquee player. They simply don’t. They have a few fine players like a Jackson and DWZ, but that’s it. Even the Titans have Jai Arrow.
Just be grateful that Paul McGregor isn’t your coach. Look at his roster. He’s got several test and origin players. Pay dosent.
