Price screwed us. If he hadn't lingered in his decision to leave, the dogs could have used that money for Thurston. When JT signed with cowboys, money dogs had available was for Price' resigning.
No the management of the club was a mess at the time. the Warriors showed Price the love and he was right to wonder why his current club wasn't doing the same. If we had kept Anasta the loss of Thurston wouldn't have hurt so bad.

Everyone’s favorite player, becomes a shitcunt when they announce they’re leaving.
But this one is a shit *****
He’s not the answer to our hb woes and never will be
Don’t know why we don’t go after Lachlan lamb from the rorters

Thats not what happened, they made Price an offer but he refused to sign, he held out as much as possible and got the big deal he wanted, he was sick of all the shit that was happening at the club and he jumped ship. Then the rest followed one by one. And thurston was a trouble maker as well and wasnt a priority at the time coz we has Anasta as u mentioned. That money could have been used to keep Thurston, management had a part to blame too.
Same way we lost Asostasi, the poor kid was dying to re-sign with the Dogs but management held out prioritising Nate Myles first. Asotasi would have re-signed for peanuts but dogs didnt come to the party, Asotasi killed it in FG and Souths came with a monster offer and he took it and we lost Myles too...

He
His involvement in coffs harbour scandal along with 3 other players had a big part in the decision to part ways. Subsequently the 3 others were also not resigned.
He wasn’t involved in anything at Coffs Harbour. How many times does it need to be said.
And yes we did offer him a contract. And the difference was 35k. Graeme Hughes has stated this many times on his show.

I blame Anasta more for it. If he decided to go a year earlier we would have kept JT, would have needed him and not let him go.

I was devastated when Asotasi left, he was an absolute beast and sadly (sort of) never kicked on at Souths and never played like he did with us.

You’re wrong about Price mate. The club gave him a low ball offer. He says it on his book. There’s an excerpt from his book explaining why he left and he mentions the Garry Hughes sacking, the culture shift in the club from being a family club and the lowball offer from management. Agree with everything else you said we really stuffed up with all of those players. I actually think Asostasi was the signing that helped turn Souths around. He should have been a Bulldogs for life

Exactly.
Also when he left one of his major reasons was "opportunities after football"
Yet here he is back on our board?

Off course he is going to write that in his book. The people close to price will tell you how much of a fucking tight ass he was. It was all about the money for him, we didnt make him a lowball offer. He wanted to leave the club, he never wanted to stay and used the coffs incident as an excuse to leave. But what's done is done, it wasn't meant to be for JT or price to stay.

I always ask myself and friends, if JT stayed at the Dogs would he have become the player he is now?
I personally think no, the chance to be the main man in cowboys allowed him to become a champion player. Whereas if he stayed at dogs he wouldn't of had the free reign and players around him to fulfill his potential.

I loved Asotasi, and he loved the Bulldogs big time, he never ever wanted to leave. But you're correct, he never kicked on at Souths unfortunately.

I’d take Price’s words on what happened as he was there living it over you calling him a tight ass. I’ll share the article the link and you should read it. It wasn’t just as simple as show me the money

Heard Cogger dropped for Brock Lamb???? I hope he doesn't become another lemon, that's the last thing we need on top of our salary cap woes!!!

You are complexly off with the pixies, we made Price a strong offer that included garuntees after footy. He ummed and erred and dithered, and took the brown paper bags on offer at the Warriors when he realised there were no more from us, like the degenerate gambler that he was.

We lost Thurston because of his dithering.

Now he has his cake and eating it.

Price is the biggest zero in the board

Cogger looks shit. Looks like his best attribute is his “work ethic and hard trainer”. Kerrod Holland of halves. Bloke can’t kick for shit. Can’t tackle either. Had a hip issue as well. Hopefully he’s on about 100k then it might be worth it
