@04 Dreaming Some of us focus on the topics and raise concerns that it's not going to end well. We are allowed to do this.
Whenever people question the narrative they cop a tirade of abuse some even go to extremes. Seems like the yes campaign and that failed miserably despite all momentum.
I will re-post my comments re Connor Tracey.
27 years old. 66 NRL games. 27 Tries.
Jake Averillo is only 23 years old. He's played 78 NRL games. He's scored 31 tries. He's scored 21 tries in the last 2 seasons.
We flicked Averillo who's 4 years younger and already has more games.
People are calling this a rebuild. The signs are there it isn't. We have every right to air concerns.
Averillo should have been a central figure of any rebuild.
The other point I'm raising is the Top 30 roster is currently exhausted. To sign any player for 2024 will either have to involve a reasonable trade or involve another contract being written off as a bad investment. Too many contracts have been written off it's a concern. Again raising points not trolling.
I don't think we have the cap space to write off contracts or RFM be gone by now. RFM isn't gone.
I also raised every signing except for Crichton been unwanted by their former clubs. This is not trolling. This is legitimate concerns.
Does the pursuit of Tracey and the flagging of Burton to centre mean the club is now having some doubt whether Xerri is going be right for 2024?
Signing Xerri for 2 years on top 30 was a massive risk. No other club showed serious interest. Market value 1 year on train & trial or development.
In another thread I raised concerns about Ciraldo's tactics 2 games in a row an outside back went down, both games a specialist 5/8 was on the bench and in both games a forward Topine was thrown to the wolves. Burton both games should have pushed out to the centres as a stop gap. Ciraldo gets a free pass. Topine gets savaged to pieces. Who's got the agendas?
