Sharks will no doubt want something in return for Tracey - likely a player swap. Joash Papali'i would make sense (to them).

Was off contract or was told he’s free to leave. No player swap was even thought of

Not according to Riccio. He says they will probably require one of our up and coming players. Tracey still has a year to go on contract at the Sharks and can't sign with the Dogs for 2024 unless the Sharks release him.

Our issue is also we can't register a contract until a player is officially taken off the books. Depending on the player could be a substantial payout.

The way Sharks are hinting it could be someone like a Jordan Semrani who's a Sharks junior.
