Can Cam Smith retire already so Bellamy can get exposed as the fraud coach he is.
Bad news ... Cameron Smith just signed on for another 2 years (officially) with the Storm today.

Unless he cops serious injuries, Hazems record will be dust :(

Bloody cheats!

Will overtake on points only. Hazem will always have a higher rate and be a more respected player.

Jarrod Croker will overtake Smithers though Mr I so no need to worry... that grub won't have the record for very long!

I wonder how much the Roosters threw down to try and lure him to Sydney

Pffft what a weak statement. Bellamy is a great coach. He has proven that over and over. Turns bum players into great players, finals every year, a legit premiership threat nearly every year. Apparently no Cronk last year was the end for the storm dominance. What you said is the standard bum Rugby League fan who has no idea and is jealous of other teams success and is the equivalent of saying if Hazem El Masri didn’t goal kick he wouldn’t of been one the highest point scorers in the games history or if Billy Slater didn’t have legs he would be a shit fullback.

Right... Bellamy is a great coach, right? He's great, even though the Storm needed to illegally assemble and re-sign Cronk, Slater and Smith, he's still a great coach even without those players. See what he did to the NSW blues breaking QLD's dominance in Origin?

Wait a minute...............

Definitely a cheat in those years as a coach from 2006-2010 but what about the other years. You have 2003-2005 and then 2011-2018. Still a solid record mate. Your telling me Bellamy doesn’t get any credit for bringing Slater, Cronk, Smith, Inglis up and helping them become the players they are today ?? Bellamy has brains, he brings players like Addo Carr, Munster, Scott who where never getting a go playing in reserve grade and look how they turned out. So he doesn’t win against QLD that makes him shit does it ? You must think Ricky Stuart is a great coach cause he lost 1 games as Aus coach.

Thurston Cronk Lockyer smith slater and gi were unstoppable, but makes perfect sense at club level he found these players, read billy slaters book, talks about how precise and strict he is as a coach, he even sends the new rookies to work on construction sites to realise how lucky they are. You’re comment is invalid.

Mate let the stats do the talking.

2003 - 2005 - Melbourne finish 5, 6, 6
2006 - 2010 - void do to rorting the salary cap
2011 - 2018 - still maintained an illegally formed team with Slater and Smith, and for the most part, Cronk

He achieved NOTHING in the years without those 3 players, and when they came on board, they were kept there illegitimately. Who's to say one or more wouldn't have left during 2011 - 2018? Take a look at the book - Cronk leaves, then Storm don't even look to threaten the Chooks in the GF.

Players make a good team, the coach definitely adds influence, but those 3 players are talented. I'm sure Melbourne would've been just as good even if @Nasheed was coaching them!

The true test for Bellamy is yet to come. He's only ever coached talent packed teams with arguably the best spine of the modern era. And even with that spine he's still required a different dirty wrestling tactic to keep the team winning. How many banned tackling techniques that are outlawed were used for a season in his sides. Bennett was considered as an innovative coach until he took the reigns of a developing team. He's never reached the same heights without the bulk of an origin team at his disposal.

So comparisons between coaching skill also has to take account of the roster quality. Put me in an F1 car verse a professional racing driver in a 4 cylinder hatchback and I'd look pretty good.

I was really happy when hazem broke johns record and became number 1
But records are meant to be broken and unless smith scores 36points in round 1 we should be happy that hazem held the record for over a decade

You're right... it was round 1 2009 in torrential rain that Hazem broke the record against Manly. Good memory.
