Does that mean that Meaney is available ???:tearsofjoy:
Just looked in zero tackle and Nelson and Welch are on a combined one mil! That makes it even more rediculous. Melbourne clearly breaking the cap.. NRL should have never allowed this contract, should have forced him to go to the dolphins.

That means the storm have 4 mil at least tied up in 4 players in Munster, Hughes. Pap and Grant. That only leaves about 5mil for the rest of the 26. Meaning the rest of the squad on average have to be on min wage, how does that work? I smell another salary cap scandal coming. Presumably another 2 or 3 years down the tract after the fact, just like the last one. Also article is openly saying ceo is paying Munster extra under the table… rediculous.
You do realise the cap is going up right

They did lose Brandon Smith, Kafousi, Nofoaluma and the Bromwich bros

Yeah but add Coates on 450 k from zero tackle, can’t find meanies number but you would have to think would be 300k plus.

Munster staying at the storm was always gonna happen.
Papenhuzyen to leave the storm and join the Dogs after next year once belly leaves.
Don't think papenhuyzen has many years left in him...
He plays tough and 100 mile an hour stuff but his body's not big enough and it's clearly not holding up.....

There's no way the Storm are over the cap. Look at all of the players they've lost over the last 3-4 years. Their team is massively top heavy which is why they uncharacteristically fell apart this season. Because they've lost so much depth and their top 17 is nowhere near as strong as it used to be. Especially when players like Papenhuysen, Grant etc are injured.

Adding Xavier Coates would be on 3-400k minimum, Big Nelson would be on 500k and Justin Olam 3-400k, they appear to be paying in brown paper bags

Staying at the Storm for another 4 years. Sucked in Dolphins.

I'm calling bullshit that it's only $1 million, there's money coming from somewhere in all of this. As someone else pointed out doing the maths on the remaining 26 players certainly won't add up. Once again the salary cap benefits one of the NRL's favourite clubs.

Unfortunately I think you're 100% right. His only hope of lasting longer is to reinvent himself as more of a ball playing full back which won't be easy with the other 3 in the spine demanding the ball.

The last few years the Storm would have lost the following players without making big name signings to replace them. Let's not pretend that this wouldn't free up a huge amount of cap space. Also factor in that the Cap is going up..

Cameron Smith
Brandon Smith
Josh Addo-Carr
Nico Hynes
Tino Fa'asuamaleaui
Dale Finucane
Jessie Bromwich
Kenny Bromwich
Felise Kaufusi
Max King
Paul Momirovski

Hynes, king and Morovski all on or close to minimum wage. Even tino, did he ever re sign with the storm after hitting first grade? You have to consider players status when they were actually signed.
