I was probably mostly disappointed in Burton to be honest.
We all know flanno is average, so our expectations are not high from him,
But Burton is suppose to be a superstar
A nsw origin player, a kangaroo player and the big money player we are building a team around.
And trusted with captain

He really didn't set the world on fire really.
Didn't really do anything special.
You expect something from your key guys in every game.
Reynolds was our shining light really.

I really want to see a lot more from Burton

pretty hard to show attack when youre made to defend imaginary 6agains repeatedly, which was an issue we have we have faced for a while now and now we have all these rep players we are still getting pegged for 6agains and penalties and receive fuck all which makes no sense and just drains you away with and without the ball.. the sharks were deadset woeful, slouched all over us, flopped on us, im sure there was a shoulder charge or 2 that was never mentioned either and were rewarded for shit play

We had ample opportunities 10 out and wasted them. Flano died with the ball on one of those sets on the last FFS.
Its the same every game we lose, blame the refs or the forwards when we never capitise on the opportinites 10-15 out.
Blaming refs is soft as fuck. Sure he was wistle happy but it doesnt change the fact that we were clueless.

Our discipline has been an issue for years. Today showed that it hasn changed.

im not saying we were perfect, but we were definitely held off the ball and that effects your play no doubt

Sigh. We looked rusty. Still putting it together. We’ll probably look rusty for the first 6 weeks.

Same side will run out in round 1 + tpj. Maybe some tweaks here and there. Reynolds played himself into the 7 jersey but don’t think it matters. They will stick with the system and he’ll come off the bench. Long year ahead and hopefully we can pick up a few wins early to keep the season interesting.
